Re: The 11/12 NBA season thread
Pretty excited about the season. Interested to see how Iman Shumpert works out for us. Chauncey is vet but he's old and cannot run the fast break, we're a run and gun offense oriented team so we need a point guard with speed and wit. Hopefully he can bring that and more but I generally don't trust the decisions of the Knicks front office. 2012 is free agent season though so if not this year then the next. Oh, and also, **** the NEW JERSEY Nets, I'm originally from Brooklyn and no real New Yorker will support them!

Re: The 11/12 NBA season thread
So happy that ball is back.

By the way, got a question for all you basketball players here. Which ball do you think is better:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Converse-Uni...2769989&sr=8-6
or
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nike-NIKE-Ba...769989&sr=8-11
for outdoor basketball.
Also, gonna buy this pump: http://www.amazon.co.uk/MY-Football-...ref=pd_cp_sg_4 - looks alright doesn't it?
Thanks

Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadBuy the Nike Basketball, although, Spalding would be my first choice.(Original post by RabbitCFH)

This one is the cheapest. You think it's better than the Nike one?(Original post by brighteyes1994)
Agreed on spalding
although I have a Wilson ball at the moment and I've barely used it but it feels really nice!

Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadCheers, man. Out of curiousity (sorry for hijacking the thread btw, lol), do you play HS/college basketball or just for fun?(Original post by Stilo)
As far as being better I think any ball can be good as long as it's well maintained. But the thing with spalding is that it's regulation, so you're actually using the same ball nba players use. Plus I grew up on it, that's why I prefer them and recommend them.
And to get back on topic... I'd love to see the Bulls win again for the first time since 1998.Last edited by RabbitCFH; 02-12-2011 at 01:03. -

Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadNo, I ran track in high school and skateboarded. I've been a fan of basketball my entire life but I've only recently (like a year ago) got into playing it recreationally on a serious level. My shots gotten significantly better and more consistent.(Original post by RabbitCFH)

And with regard to the bulls I think D. Rose is give or take one of the most athletic players in the nba, and maybe a top 10 point guard but without a consistent number 2 and a number 3 scorer the bulls aren't really going to go deep in the playoffs. Most teams with stars need added depth, we saw it hinder the heat last season. James Jones shows up the first game, puts up 20 plus points and they win comfortably if teams don't have bench contributions then in my opinion they aren't going to win championships. -
Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadNike trifectas are the best for outdoors. Last ages and the grip gets better as it wears beleive it or not. Trust me(Original post by RabbitCFH)

Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadHow on earth do you 'maintain' and outdoor basketball. The only way I can think of is not use it... or maybe play carefully? Which are both a bit pointless. Also buying a spalding ball doesn't mean your playing with an nba regulation ball. Spalding make a lot of different basketballs.(Original post by Stilo)
