Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadThat team talk had me fired up and I was lounging on the sofa at about 4 at the morning so I cant imagine what its like to actually play for him(Original post by youngzwavey)
durant scored 32.. he's doing something for his team, it's incredibly hard to beat the spurs for the thunder, they're 1-4 in 2012 so far dating back to the regular season, as someone already said the big 3 combining for 89 points and you still don't win? the rest of the team need to step up, fisher was the closest with 10 points. whereas the spurs everyone scores, parker scored 34, ginobli had 20 and leonard 18, duncan had 10 if memory serves me so you can see they were "sharing the sugar" as tnt says it. Spurs team basketball is tough to say the least they also had homecourt. thunder first 3 quarters in game 1 is proof they can beat the spurs though i think theres more to come from this series especially flying back to okc
i think i'm the only one that thought it was wierd that popovich said at the start of the fourth " i want nasty" all of a sudden okc couldnt score and sas couldnt miss haha -
Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadcertain folks expect him to score 50 and when he doesn't, they denounce him(Original post by Qi Jia)
In fact in the last game of the 2011 Finals, Lebron scored 19pts and had a triple double- not as big a breakdown as people seem to paint it as.

Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadhaha for sure, another reason the spurs can go all the way when it comes to coaching brooks doesn't have the experience to match Pop and spoelstra just dont get me started lol(Original post by alexsong)

Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadI'm pretty sure I remember idiots like Skip Bayless said that the triple double was the worst triple double he'd ever seen (or something to that effect).(Original post by Qi Jia)

In other words, if Lebron James doesn't hit the game winning shot (or, at the very least, score at least 20 points in the last 2 minutes WITHOUT D-Wade hitting the game winning shot), it will not suffice. A triple double... hell even a quadruple double is still crap. AFTER ALL, IT'S LEBRON JAMES (and he can stuff the stats). -
Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadperhaps the shortened season has caused this dullness?(Original post by BigFudamental)
Maybe I'm just bitter that the Mavs are out but I'm finding this post-season pretty dull so far. The only (positive) storyline so far is the Spurs' dominance. -
