Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadNo ones getting overexcited were talking about Lebrons performances so how about you quit being bitter?(Original post by Miryo)
Miami fans, stop getting over excited, you haven't won yet. -
Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadI'm a nervous wreck haha.. Really want the Heat to come out and dominate and tbh, i don't care who does what, i just wanna win!!(Original post by johnharris19944)
Im extremely nervous for the game tonight, really hoping Wade comes out strong and Bron just continues.
And if we win, the Thunder/Heat matchup is going to be beautiful <3 3 -
Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadNeed Wade to start off strong and knock down shots, Bosh to keep doing what hes doing, James the same but maybe knock down some more free throws. Also is it to much to ask for Miller to knock down his shots?(Original post by lebron_23)

Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadGet meeee! That performance was poor..(Original post by Xotol)
In the most important game of his life, 7 missed shots, 4 missed FT, 4 turnovers (team high), 0 steals, 0 blocked shots, pathetic 4 points in 4th qtr, lower +/- than DWade.
Choker!
But whilst i'm amazed at how he played, this is how LEBRON JAMES should be playing. Obviously not expected to put that type of performance in each night, but that game will further cement his status as one of the best players ever.. I see the Heat winning tonight and then taking the championship. -
Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadYeah, Miller could prove to be crucial if he has a game similar to something he did last time (had 13 points i think? Late in the indi series or early in this one.. I can't remember).. Could be the difference between us just beating the celtics, or us absolutely PULVERIZING them(Original post by johnharris19944)

Notice how i didn't even consider the possiblity of us losing..?

Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadYour in a much more optimistic mood then me im completely losing it, so freaked out don't want us to lose this and definitely not James because hes played his heart out this series.(Original post by lebron_23)

Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadIf the Heat win tonight, and OKC turn up like they did against the Spurs, I don't see how the Heat are going to beat them. Lebron James on his best night may still be better than Durant may ever be, but OKC on form are arguably the best team in the league - they are certainly much better than the Celtics, who the Heat have struggled with.(Original post by TheLouisVuittonDon)

Lebron >> Durant though. -
Re: The 11/12 NBA season threadI agree, he's MVP for a reason, but my point was that OKC are a better team because they play with a unity of purpose and action that the Heat lacks entirely. The problem with James is that he rarely puts in the dominating performances that we expect him to - particularly when they are most needed - the fact that the Heat are being taken right to the last game of this series is testament to that fact. And if the Heat lose tonight, though it will be the team's collective responsibility, James will once again shoulder the greatest part of the burden of defeat precisely because he is better than any other player in the league. No one expects James to break a different record every time he steps onto a basketball court, but what they do expect is for him to do whatever is necessary to drag his team across the finish line. If that means scoring a huge amount of points, then he should do it. If it means recording a triple double, he should do it. If it means simply making the players around him better by acting as facilitator, he should do it, because that is what great players do - that is how greatness is defined, and if James never wins a ring he will go down as the single greatest waste of talent in NBA history. At the moment Lebron has come as close to winning a championship as AI (all 6ft of him) did playing on a much poorer team than the star-spangled Miami Heat team of the present moment. In game 6 James showed the necessary mentality, and if he can replicate that for the rest of the playoffs and land the championship for Miami then he will have taken a very big step in his career.(Original post by BigFudamental)
Lebron >> Durant though.
