Re: Sport Technology 2012
I have just graduated at loughborough in sports tech and I required 300 UCAS points wich I got (can't remember the grades). All the straight maths is taught in a maths for dummies module in the first year so only 30% is needed to pass it, mechanics is much more useful for the whole 3 years as there is some cross over with mechanical engineering

Re: Sport Technology 2012
I would get a normal laptop with the best graphics card you can find to download the CAD software for the design modules, which I would recommend as wolfson computers can be hard to find to do your coursework near a deadline. If you don't want to download NX then any laptop will do

Re: Sport Technology 2012
This is just a friendly notice for those that might be starting sports tech in october; the sports technology course is not accredited by any external organisation. it is the only course offered by wolfson (undergraduate courses, i am not sure about postgraduate) that is not accredited; all other courses (except i think engineering management) is accredited by either IMechE or IET.
just thought i'd put it out there since it can be important to some people. i for one chose to change course because of this reason.
but nonetheless, if you choose to continue with the course it is extremely fascinating! if you freshers get stuck with SRM's (you'll find out soon) table tennis modelling cw, feel free to give me a shout!
