Re: University of the Arts - London 2012 Applicants!
because i'm much more interested in the practical and artistic side of architecture. cambridge offers a somewhat more theoretical course. i spoke to many architects according to whom csm would be more suitable for what i want. besides, i simple feel, that i need to go there. even if i know that half of the students will be arty-farty hipsters.
as to your last questions, i had an interview in cambridge in december, and i had a portfolio review at csm 3 weeks ago. i wasn't able to attend, so i sent my portfolio online. -
Re: University of the Arts - London 2012 Applicants!
I got into the FdA Graphic Design course at Camberwell, and I only have 2 G.C.S.E's.......in English.
I had an informal interview with the course director and he offered me a place pretty much on the spot, by the way for all the people anxious about when Camberwell will get back to them, it's the 16th of march, so only a couple of days to go
So pretty chuffed regarding that, it honestly seems to me that the FdA course is better then the B.A, we get first hand experience working with some of the biggest names in the industry and we can still apply for the 3rd year B.A in any of the UAL colleges, its essentially two qualifications for the price of one, if you play your cards right. -
Re: University of the Arts - London 2012 Applicants!
hey
i just got accepted into central saint martins for criticsm, communication and curation! so pleased and nearly 100% sure i'll firm it. anyone else doing this course? or does anyone have any info/insight on st martins as a uni? fell in love with the new kings cross campus and absolutely loved it!

Re: University of the Arts - London 2012 Applicants!Certainly you are. Don't feel you have to go anywhere this year. It's a lot of time and money to spend on something that will make you unhappy.(Original post by niasonko)
Ah got a rejection from CSM for my mini portfolio
I don't really want to go anywhere.
I think I may withdraw my uni applications, improve my work and reapply next year, anyone know if I'm allowed to do this? -
Re: University of the Arts - London 2012 Applicants!Sorry I'm going to feel pretty stupid, but is FdA means foundation diploma? Thanks for the info anyway! (will we received it by email or mail?)(Original post by Kareem_Ghezawi)

Re: University of the Arts - London 2012 Applicants!I just heard back - Camberwell have offered me a place! Im sooooo happy... they've offered me sculpture instead of painting, but that actually suits me fine cause I was starting to be come disillusioned with painting anyway!(Original post by swade13)
I just got a rejection from Goldsmiths so looks like I'm definitely going to camberwell. Have you heard anything back yet?
I also got an offer from Chelsea, Im glad I got an offer and there is lots of plus points to their course but Camberwell edge them out facilities wise.
Just going to wait to hear what CSM say before making a final decision but I think its going to be camberwell.....
