    Work Experience notes
Just wondering how other people make notes while on work experience in a SA practice. Do you make many? Do you leave them as notes or type them up etc.

I'm a 2012 applicant and I've been to 4 different vet practices. Generally at each one I have a little notebook with me to jot down interesting case studies and things I've learnt. Then when I get home I may type them up so I can save them for future reference. It certainly helps, as then if you need to look anything up later on in the application process it's easy!

i've got a word document with all of my notes from all of my placements - some are literally just notes about things that i've seen and then some things i've researched further and written up in more detail.

In all honesty I wasn't great at keeping notes of my placements; except lambing I wrote very little, mostly because I didn't have time whilst on the placement to write and once I got home couldn't think what to put down (Although the majority stayed in my head until something jogged the memory).

I had piles of notes written up on vetty issues and things like vaccinations by myself and the other vet applicants at my college because we worked together preparing ourselves, plus compiled a massive random word document of stuff. As it happened most of the stuff I ACTUALLY went over didn't crop up in interviews. xD

I used a note book and write down anything that was routine -- ie what you vaccinate against, why, and any cases I saw & how they were treated, especially interesting ones which I may want to talk about in the interviews etc.
