The Trinity College Thread
For all questions and discussion about every aspect of Cambridge colleges

Re: The Trinity College ThreadI believe that it's roughly 6/7 applicants per place. To be honest I wouldn't worry about applying for a particular college for a subject because it is more or less competitive - the pooling system will even the numbers out, so just apply to the one that you like best!(Original post by insomniacramblings)
Does trinity have a reputation for rejecting people without even interviewing them?
How competitive is HSPS (formerly PPS) at this college?
And I'm pretty sure that Cambridge has a policy of interviewing most of its applicants, roughly 90% or so usually get interviews.
Good choice with HSPS though!

Re: The Trinity College ThreadShould be fine. You just need to contact the accommodation office to make sure it is ok(Original post by thebot)
It says in the Accommodation Handbook that the rental period starts on the Saturday before the Term (29th of September, this year). How strict is that? I wanted to come on the 28th of September, just 1 day before, is it possible to occupy rooms then? -
Hi, to anyone starting this coming October:
My letter (freshers pack) following the A-level results hasn't arrived yet (I've met my offer though!) so could anybody tell me what your envelope contained, apart from the congratulatory letter? I'm particularly worried about anything that I might need to reply to (forms to fill in and send, etc.)
Thanks!Last edited by Lawnmower; 24-08-2012 at 22:52. -
Re: The Trinity College ThreadHi, my freshers pack just arrived yesterday! There are two forms that have to be returned: one about your contact details and one about payment of fees. There were other things liks the freshers guides, a letter from your tutor and information about your course. There was a letter sent before the freshers pack asking for your A2 UMS, did you get that? I'm sure you'll get everything soon!(Original post by Lawnmower)

I've only received the UCAS letter, but at least I've got that as an official confirmation that I've met my offer and got my place
I've just seen those two forms on the website, so if they fail to materialise in the post then at least I'll still be able to print them and send them off on time! (I guess i should also get in touch with them about why nothing's arrived, although I'm getting their emails...) I'm relieved to hear there's nothing else that urgently needs replying to, cos it would be a shame to mess up my university place at this stage
Thanks again! -

The big Cbridge thread moves too quickly to follow so I wanted something a wee bit smaller to see who else is out there! (hope it doesn't get closed)
I'm Caitlin from Northern Ireland applying for Pol/IR through HSPS
my interviews are on the 4th December and I'll be at Trin the night before as well
Anybody else?
