Incidentally, I was at starbucks the other day and said my name was Jim when they asked for my name to put on the takeaway cup. True story.

I'm going to show my ignorance and bite: What exactly is north of vag? Tits?
'Don't fall for that crap that people are peddling on the message boards, in magazines or on TV. Get your **** in order, and get your training in order. Start kicking ass, and take out the crap that doesn't matter. Start doing and believing in the stuff that works, and do it today and forever. You want science and studies? **** you, I've got scars and blood and vomit.
This is a call to arms for some of you. It is for me too. Stop all the things that make you a pussy and steal your energy. Get your life back.' - Jim Wendler -
Re: Moving North of VagWe both are alike it seems.... I am pathetic when it comes to squats(Original post by Old School)

Re: Moving North of VagInteresting fella. I went and looked up Wendler's book and website and am impressed.(Original post by Old School)

Normally, I am a bit ambivalent towards guys, especially when talking about strength training/body building/sports etc. who go on endlessly about manning up, being tough and just sound like they are somehow overcompensating or even overstating things (e.g. when Rippletoe goes on about the importance of strength in modern life and how it defines your whole worth as a man, yadda, yadda) but I have to say that Wendler comes across as being more down to earth, realistic and honest with stuff. -
Re: Moving North of Vag
Three replies. ****, I'm popular today.
Considering my bodyweight, I can't press for ****. It's coming along nicely though.(Original post by u4m1r)
Nice pressing man!
Wendler is awesome. He knows his **** and talks in plain simple language. He also knows how to get big and strong- squat, press, pull, condition, repeat. Unless you're a genetic freak this is the only way. I'm still surprised as to why so many people (on here and in real life) just don't get this.(Original post by Mark85)

Gain weight. Works for me(Original post by liftorrot)
We both are alike it seems.... I am pathetic when it comes to squats
I just dont know why...

Today's training was amusing. I went down the gym at around 1400. Back, hips and knees were agony so I came home took double doses of paracetemol, ibuprofin and diclofenac (I seriously don't recommend anyone else do this- just to be clear) had a couple cups of rocket fuel coffee and listened to some slipknot to get fired up and went back at 1700. Had a solid 90% session which I'm quite pleased with considering.
Squat
60x10
100x5
130x5
155x7
170x2
175xf (had this but dumped it as I didn't want to grind it cos my back was being retarded)
Paused Squat
100x5
110x5
110x5
110x5
110x5
Cut it there, didn't want to piss my back off too much cos the painkillers sent me to a magical land where pain doesn't exist. Fortunately I was with it enough to realise that I'd come back to the real world with a bang at some point...
Speaking of which, my whole posterior chain is 'bad' hurting atm. Tomorrow is going to be fun. -
Re: Moving North of VagHahah that is one thing I struggle even though I eat like a ***** pig , hell , I have dropped weight instead of gaining since I started lifting... bizarre... for now I will stick to 3x5 :s(Original post by Old School)

Re: Moving North of Vag
Interesting couple of days.
Had to do a 'fitness' test for a job interview yesterday.
1 min plank
Max push ups in 1 min (managed 53)
Step ups with 10kg dumbell and a 20kg weight vest for 2 min followed by 2 mins CPR
Bleep test up to lv 7 (had to hit 5.4 (rofl) but they let us go on for a bit)
Was fasting yesterday but the test was so easy it really didn't have any impact.
Trained legs today:
Squat
60x10
100x10
135x1
160x5
160x3
150x8
150x4
Paused Squat
100x5x2
112.5x5x2
Dumbell SLDL (back was complaining)
40kgx10x4
Leg Curl
2x15 -

Some kinda PT job, or something else needing a fitness test?
Fitness test was fun. Kinda pleased with my max pushups, would have liked 60 though but my rotator cuff has been playing up a treat for the last weak or so and I couldn't tolerate any more pain-pain so I packed it in at 55 seconds. -
Re: Moving North of VagCrikey. What is wrong with me today?!(Original post by Old School)
