Margaret Bonfield is a communal bathroom, but it's still quite nice and apparently really social cause it's by the SU bar, the other two are single ensuites ... I applied pretty soon after the email was sent out so hopefully that makes a difference :crossedf: - I also applied for William Carey and Basset Lowke as 4th and 5th choices...In hindsight, they're not very good back-ups...:sigh:

Where have you applied?

Ahh yeah, I couldn't handle sharing a bathroom.

Is Margaret Bondfield on Park or Avenue? As I thought the only campus near the SU bar on Avenue campus was Bassett Lowke? :s

Anyway I applied for single en-suite at Bassett Lowke for my first choice and then my 2nd, 3rd and 4th choices at single en-suites at Park campus.
I had a spare one so I put Twin En-suite at Bassett (although I wish I hadn't now, because I seriously hope they don't put me in there.)

edit: nevermind, I was wrong about Margaret Bondfield.

Ahhhhhhhh William Carey is the party halls  But yes. I won't miss the hill when I leave, it is horrible when it rains. Walking around just seems ... pointless at the best of times! Watcha studying anyways?
Which halls are the quietest? Silly question as all halls I assume are noisy, but asa mature student wo wants peace and quiet, what are the best options?

Probably Simon or Spencer, it really depends on the people who live around you and the room you get. But they are not that bad, you often get loud people before they hit the town but the latest that ends is usually 12... and you never hear people come back (Unless you are a night owl like me), the wardens are quite helpful in dealing with loud people and any potential loud music players!

I have to say though, that living in William Carey has been quite pleasant. Being the furthest away from the campus makes it a lot nicer in terms of the other two halls situated next to eachother. I would have to say that if you want quiet have a look around for 2nd / 3rd years who are living in a house (it will be nicer and cheaper) if you want any pictures of the halls let me know! I'm around for one more month

Mmmmmmmmmm Computer Graphics and visualization going onto my second year in September, I know they are horrific. I can't count the amount of times I have fallen over at 4AM walking back after a night out.
