Friends.
I know lots of people love it, but I just don't understand.
I don't laugh at the show at all, the laugh track irritates me like hell, and I don't identify with the characters in the slightest.

Most of my friends really seem to like it (to the point where they know every episode back to back), however I never got into it, I've seen one or two episodes and didn't find them funny at all

Re: TV shows you just don't get the appeal of?well SOMEBODY likes the smell of his own farts...(Original post by philistine)
Soi-disant 'talent' shows. One big series of dog and pony shows; no talent, just pure entertainment appealing only to the lowest common denominator. I have to question the logic when I hear such statements as, 'I can't believe 'insert hackneyed 'singer' got voted out'; no ****, they had no talent in the first place.
Same goes for television soap operas, poorly acted dramas and comedy talk shows. There is actually very little worth watching on television these days. The chief reason why my viewing habits are limited to Sky and BBC news, Garrow's Law and the odd documentary. -
Re: TV shows you just don't get the appeal of?I'll have you know that my grandparents love these shows(Original post by Newbie123)
Dickinson's Real Deal, Bargain Hunt, Cash in the Attic etc etc.
Basically anything that involves OAPs selling antiques.
I've watched them many a time as a result, and they're not too bad, though I'm not particularly interested in antiques.
I think things like Big Brother, "Katie Price's ____" "What *insertphoneycelebritywhoisonlyh eardofformassiveplasticbreastsan dlackofintellect* did next" seem ridiculous. Why would you want to give money to these people? Same with TOWIE / scousewives etc, it's just encouraging more people to act like this.

Pretty much anything that is supposedly about rich kids. They are mostly badly acted. They are in no way accurate or realistic. They serve as sales platforms for beauty ads. Even the fun ones like Gossip Girl are awful. The UK ones like MIC are totally pathetic.
