I have an interview for Chemistry on the 8th December, any one else going to be there and does anyone know what its going to be like and what questions they might ask? Its my first interview ahh!

I could possibly be your tour guide.

You'll get this when you get here but the day consists of:
a) An hour lunch (free buffet!) to get you lot socialising.
b) 2 tours (inside and outside) and an interview, the order of them varies depending on what group you've been assigned to.
c) Flash bang show

It'll be quite informal so ya know... just relax xD

Yes, yes you will be, but the interviewer's not there to catch you out and try to make you lose your offer, they're just making sure you're not a retard basically (pardon my Francais). I couldn't answer the one and only chemistry question posed by the interviewer when I had mine but yet here I am... You'll be asked questions based on your personal statement mainly so just make sure you know what you've put in your PS!

Trust me, you're not the only one that's bricking it. All the people I've seen and heard from all said "it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be" or something along those lines.

Hey guys, I'm freakishly excited! just got my interview invite! Not for a while but I'ts the only thing i can think about!!!!

Just wondering (people who have already been, im looking at you!) how does a chem interview go down?
what were people wearing ? what kind of questions were asked? how much chemistry do they expect us to know etc?

any help would been much appreciated!

I got an interview (call) with future supervisor (Jason Micklefield, department of chemistry, UoM) last friday for PhD. Then I checked my email this morning, he want me to have another discussion with Lorraine Onabanjo (Senior recruiter & admission officer) this evening (5.30 Malaysia time). Any tips? Or anybody knows Prof Jason Micklefield?

I have an interview there on the 15th November :') luckily I have York and Sheffield before, and apparently the interview style is the same so hopefully ill get better
