the learndirect website says that tv presenters come from a variety of backgrounds and there are no set qualifications needed

According to Dara O'Brien...you have to "stab everyone in the eye with a fork"

Apparently he did it for a while and it was the most competative atmosphere with everyone desperate to get a better show and doing anything to be ahead of the other presentors. Lots of backstabbing according to him. Not trying to put you off though. I expect it would be great but make sure you dont get agressive like lots of them do ...apparently.
