I got the email after my actual offer. Probably something like a week or two afterwards. No one else get one?
Hmmm... I'll have a look through my inbox. Come to think of it I had some sort of ID number for when I went for an interview.

I've put Salford as my insurance. Unsure of what to put as my accommodation preferences. There was a guide around here somewhere... Anyone know which thread it's in?

Edit: Found it, it was on the first page of this thread

What have people picked for their accommodation? I noticed that there are 6 halls but there are only prices for 4 of them on the accom. website?

Which accomodation is closest to the music campus? I think it's the adelphi building or something.

Can I PM you regarding accommodation? Might be a long one so I don't want to send you an essay if you cba with it :P
Yo, sorry for the slow reply. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions that haven't been answered yet. (:

EDIT: same goes to any other Salford applicants; if you have any questions feel free to PM/quote me and i'll be happy to help you out. I'm a first year (well, soon to be second year..) doing Physics w/ a year in North America. I live in JL/EC.

Cheers Much appreciated! I won't get around to it for a week/10 days (perhaps more). Need to discuss what I can afford with my parents first!

Good luck. If you get the full loan/grant then I can confirm that it's fairly easy to live off the money left over from paying the JL/EC rent. IQ isn't a good choice if money is an issue though. I think the price for some of the places is increasing this year though so watch out for that.

I get the minimum loan -.- £3575 or something like that.
I want somewhere with a good atmosphere, perhaps not TOO many parties, and relatively safe/secure.

Salford is my insurance choice so will I stand less of a chance of getting my #1 accommodation?

that's pretty much what i was looking for too.

umm.. i'm not entirely sure to be honest. i did the IB rather than a-levels so i got my results back in July, hence my offer became unconditional. i then applied to accommodation and got an offer the next day, because obviously they knew i was definitely coming to Salford.

I'd like to say no, but on the other hand they're probably going to give priority to those who have a higher chance of coming to Salford. :/ You might have to ring and ask them.

I'm a photographer atm but I'm hopefully gonna be on the Fashion course in September, I fancy a change of pace Plus I can do photography in the second year so it's not too much of a change :3

I have an conditional offer from Salford for September studying Journalism. It's based at MediaCity, is anyone else going to be based there?

Also, is there a Facebook group for Freshers 2012? I've found 2 on there so far but it seems like its been forgotten about! I'd hope running up to September theres a more 'official' one just so we can get to know eachother a bit!
