Aww thank you! Not very optimistic now but just want to hear either way!

I take it you have a place starting in sept? congrats
Thank you. Yes, I'm starting this Sept at IOE.

Don't worry, things will be fine for you. Feel free to ask if you need any help for your interview at IoE.
    Good luck!

Thank you for all the info you have shared it has helped calm me a little bit

    Few more Questions:

How long were the maths and English tests?

With the current educational issues, did you talk about one or many? and did you have a strong opinion of them, or simply discussed them in general? (Don't want to disagree with something they agree with!)

The section on the interview in the letter talks about the national curiculum... did you talk about this in detail during your interviews?

Did they ask about specific subjects ie what would you do in a maths lesson if?

So nervous would really apreciate any help you could give. My interview is on the 26th of April and is pretty much my last chance for this years round of applications

    Hi there,

    You're welcome ! I am happy you're a bit calmer than before.

My first advice would be to really relax and calm down... It is important during the interview as they would get a feel that you are confident of what you are saying. Smile as well. Don't forget the eye contact.

Maths test was of 30 mins and English test was of 20 mins only.

The interviewer didn't really ask anything in particular about the national curriculum. However, I went through it while preparing myself.

She asked me about my specialism. Then based on it she asked me a few questions. For e.g, how can my specialism contribute to Primary education. What I like best about it etc...

Just one educational issue, my friend. Keep track of the time... One issue, well researched, and provide your opinion. I strongly agreed as I had enough of proof to state my opinion. ( M My interviewer was nodding her head and smiling at me with her eye-brows raised... She seemed impressed... )
So, it basically depends on what you are going to talk about. You can agree to what the interviewer says but think before you agree... It might be something you want to disagree with and state the reason why.
Have a lot of questions & answers prepared in mind (pertaining to the topic) as the interviewer is going to refute in the middle... Stay calm and answer/give your opinion plus the findings as to why you are agreeing/ disagreeing to it. Be confident. Hope that helps... This is what I did during my interview.

Are you doing any presentation? That's the most important part of the whole interview process.

Ask if you have any other questions/doubts/clarifications... I can't think of any at the moment... Oh yes, please dress smartly. I saw a few wearing jeans. It looks unprofessional. I'm sure you know that already...

Don't worry friend, you'll be fine. Good luck. Do let me know how it went.

I think the tests were the same; the essays and the fractions, nth term, decimals and etc.

My interview and presentation went miraculously well, and that was due to God's Grace as usual..

    Hey MM*,

That's nice, you pretty much got the same topics as we had discussed/shared/told you about our interview experience...
I'm happy I could be of a little help to you . Someone in this forum also helped me before my interview by advising me.

    This is a great forum.
