I've tried the kcl website, as well as a search on tsr, but can't find anything on mooting whilst doing law at kings, is mooting not a compulsory aspect of the law degree? or is it something im going to have to do as extra-curricular? if the latter is correct then how good is the kcl mooting society?

Mooting is not a compulsory aspect of the Law degree.
However, there is ample opportunity to enter Moots if you so wish. Both the Bar Society and the Law Society have brilliant Mooting opportunities. You may also be interested in the Debating society.
what exactly is mooting? i understand it's some sort of practice roleplay court case?
yep thats what it is, its very similar to a real court case; useful for ppl wanting to become barristers, or those who just enjoy debating/ public speaking
