Applying, Bsc/BA?
Hi there,
Applying at Leicester, UEA, Loughborough, Essex, and not sure about a fifth choice as of yet.
Issue here being, do I apply for Leic/Essex's course for the Ba or the BsC.. is there any difference in relative ease of getting onto the course etc?...I am predicted AAB, but most probs get ABB.
Also, any 5th safe choice for me? Already got an A in economics a level, currently on a gap year just improving mathematics/history grades.
Cheers -
Re: Applying, Bsc/BA?Not necessarily true. Take a look at Cambridge, Oxford, and Exeter. All three have quantitative courses yet nonetheless award BA Economics. Both Cambridge and Exeter are also two of the few to offer the opportunity to study advanced theoretical econometrics.(Original post by lucas13)
BSc's will have more maths in it and are therefore better although there is not a massive difference.
Increasingly the title of the award has little to do with the content covered. -
Re: Applying, Bsc/BA?They would for the universities he's applying to which offer both BA and BSc I'd have thought. Oxbridge and Exeter don't do a BSc so their BA is the same as BSc but just a different name, however this doesn't apply to other unis.(Original post by .ACS.)
