Me too, I really want Lucia foster and accommodation is last thing on my list, and I just want to get it done now!

I just rang them earlier and the lady I talked to said that you can apply as soon as you get letters about accommodation.

@ yewande94, which room are you thinking of applying for?

Has anyone actually seen the halls? Which ones are good? Pros and cons?
@ SMason, I just did it but the procedure is so confusing because you HAVE to pick 9 preferences

@ Chantelle, I applied for all the ones that are en-suite because that't the type of room i wanted but because you have to make 9 choices, I had to go for ones that were non en-suite

Yeah I know. I didn't like that we had to make 9 choices and they can't all be the same haha And then on the summary of your application, it says "Please note if you have only given one accommodation option we may have to select an alternative if this choice is no longer available." We can't even continue to the next thing if we hadn't chosen 9!

I'm glad i'm not the only one who noticed that in the summary aha, so what was your first choice?

I thought the 9 options was really weird too! Some of them I definitely don't want like the "large" rooms, and in particular I really don't want Hamwic/Kimber/David Moxon Annexe but I didn't have a choice but to put them down to fill up space

I put Lucia as my first, Deanery as my second, Chantry standard as third and kind of just randomly picked the others. What did everyone else pick?

LFW non-ensuite as first choice and then chantry non-ensuite, the others were in price order as i really don't want to be paying £125 a week!

I know right? It's hella annoying!

I put Lucia as my first and Deanery as second too. But now, I think i'll have to change my application and swap them two around as I've heard that en-suite is just really the best way forward. I don't think I can share a bathroom with strangers, not prepared for that just yet. Hmm.. £115pw though :/

Innit, so unbelievable, if i end up with a non en-suite choice I'm going to be livid .. If that was the case what would you end up doing?

I'm not really bothered about sharing a toilet, I'd rather have a little bit of extra money to be honest. I was all for en-suite at first, until I actually went on the accommodation tour thing and it was nowhere near as bad as I imagined

I'm just hoping my fellow kitchen/toilet-sharers won't be too disgusting, but if they are I'll just buy some bleach and it'll be fiiiine

Well i'm not really that bothered whether I have an en-suite or not, and the fact that the communal areas are cleaned by a cleaner then they won't be that nasty, but if you don't get an en-suite, i don't really know what you can do! is it essential that you have an en-suite?

thats my thought exactly, rather have the money! stayed in LWF in the summer for a week with 5 other girls and we didn't fight for the showers, so it should work out!

aren't the toilets split into 1 for boys and 1 for girls? the girls one shouldn't be that bad, we're a lot more hygienic and there's a cleaner for the guys one

That's good! I doubt everyone will have lectures at the same time anyway, so there shouldn't be shower fights.

I'm not sure, I'll take your word for it since you've stayed there before.. But I was under the impression you share with whoever's on your floor? Either way I'm glad there are cleaners haha

In LFW, there's showers to each flat, i think there might be 2 to a flat, but yeah the toilets were definitely split into boys and girls but whether it stays like that, with the people that you share the flat with is another matter.

The cleaners do communal areas, so kitchen and bathroom but obvs they're not skivvys, so if its a bomb site, they won't touch it!
