Cern scientist expects 'first glimpse' of Higgs boson/ God Particle

A respected scientist from the Cern particle physics laboratory has told the BBC he expects to see "the first glimpse" of the Higgs boson next week.

The collider smashes beams of protons together in head-on collisions, with signs of the Higgs boson, perhaps, in the debris.

The Higgs boson is notoriously difficult to define, but its existence helps us to understand why particles have mass.

Here is another article on it.

If it actually is proven then it will be such a ground breaking discovery, to think something so amazing will happen in our time.

We may not have been born at the time when the first people went to the moon, but we are alive and ready for this amazing news.

We went to the moon?

Just kidding.
Cool couple of months for physics!

Yep certainly made the subject a lot more talked about
I can't wait until they make the hyperdrive so we can get to that recently discovered earth-like planet
