Re: Olympic 2012
London 2012: Team GB announce Olympic warm-ups
BBC Sport has learned that Neymar is likely to make the Brazil squad.
It is also understood that the senior players on the list for possible selection include Ronaldinho, Chelsea defender David Luiz and Barcelona full-back Dani Alves.
Should be.. fun -
Re: Olympic 2012Meaning you think that they're gonna destroy everybody? Just like they did in the World Cup and Copa America, right?(Original post by Tommyjw)

Re: Olympic 2012
Goalkeepers: Jack Butland, Jason Steele.
Defenders: Micah Richards, Ryan Bertrand, Steve Caulker, Craig Dawson, Neil Taylor, James Tomkins.
Midfielders: Joe Allen, Ryan Giggs, Tom Cleverley, Jack Cork, Aaron Ramsey, Danny Rose.
Strikers: Craig Bellamy, Scott Sinclair, Marvin Sordell, Daniel Strurridge.
So what do people think? -
Re: Olympic 2012Needs another decent winger and there's no real centre forward there aside from Sordell who's barely played for Bolton since joining them.(Original post by Zerforax)

This problem could have been solved if Pearce had included Scottish players. James Forrest, Matt Phillips, Jordan Rhodes and Grant Hanley (yes, I know he's a defender) would all be decent inclusions.
I suppose the most obvious exclusion is Josh McEachran and I'm also disappointed to see Nathaniel Clyne and Wilfried Zaha miss out. Surprised to see Tomkins in there, has he looked good for West Ham this season? Don't know.
It is a decent squad though and we should get through our group pretty easily, only Uruguay in our group pose any real threat. Defence looks pretty solid, I'm just annoyed that plenty of decent attacking players were left out. The whole squad seems too biased towards fringe players from top 6 clubs rather than players from smaller clubs who play more regularly. Danny Rose being an obvious example of this (I reckon Phillips, Forrest and Zaha are all better)
And from the over-age players I think Lennon or Adam Johnson would have been better shouts than Bellamy.Last edited by Advanced; 02-07-2012 at 15:52. -

Why don't you want Celtic players to be involved?
