Still on my way home from the match. What a disappointment. At least I don't have to hear another 5 year old scream 'Come on Team Geeee Beeee!'.
Apart from that, the atmosphere in the city itself was great and in the stadium was decent. Korea's goal looked better on TV, because it was a routine save for Butland.

Ramsey had a great game. Allen, Sturidge and Cleverly... didn't.

After everything else going on in the olympics last night, can't say I was too disappointed about the football but it's a shame that neither the women's or men's team could even get to a bronze medal playoff at least considering this was something that may never happen again. Though I suppose, while surreal, it was sort of cool to have seen a Great Britain football team and at least now I can enjoy seeing Brazil at OT on Tuesday without having to worry about team gb, can't wait to see Neymar properly.

    Well, I was there...
He did a lot better compared to most of Team GB, I'm not saying he was MoTM or anything. It's just my opinion.

Women's semis were some of the most exciting matches I have seen over the Olympics and Euros tbh so I hope the men's is good too

^ I second this, last night's match was better than any of the men's olympic matches I've seen. Isn't women's football supposed to be more popular over in america compared to the men's game?

Yes, it is indeed. America are perennial world and Olympic champions (though Japan are currently the women's World Champions) and participation is far higher. In fact, the player widely regarded as the best in the women's game ever - Mia Hamm - was American.

Keeper should have done better on two of the goals tbh, clear penalty earlier too, other than that been good.

    Re: Men's Football Tournament
Was at Old Trafford and it was pretty special to actually see Neymar and co live. I wouldn't say it was the vintage Brazil performance I was hoping for and Neymar didn't do anything spectacular (though he was excellent in the run up to the 2nd goal), but overall they were by far the best team I've watched in this tournament (though that's hardly surprising) and apart from the first half an hour where they took a while to get going, they were very comfortable, though a little bit too comfortable at times, they played some nice football of course and the goals were good (surely there will be some European teams after Damiao now), but it would have been interesting if South Korea had managed to score in the first half and then maybe Brazil would have been motivated to put in a bit more effort. Should be an interesting final and I wonder whether Brazil will manage to score 3 goals again.

    Predictions for Brazil-Mexico today?

I think Mexico beat them the last time they played in a friendly with Dos Santos having a stormer. They don't have as strong a team today, but should still give Brazil a good game. I can see it being very open. Brazil have scored atleast 3 in every match so far, so i'll go for 3-2 Brazil.

I think Brazil will win, their squad is excellent and they've played some very high-quality football. 2-1 Brazil.

    I'm also going...:awesome:
