    "detrimental" (normally followed by "effect" or "impact).
    Also end up writing "juxtaposition", "thus" and "ultimately" a lot. ^^

    But "detrimental"'s gotta be my favourite. <3

    I overuse so many! 'exacerbate' 'evoke' 'connote' (of course), 'arguably' and that perennial favourite 'thus'.

    I used Microcosm on tuesday which is great since I'd never even heard that word before about Sunday.

    Consequently, deduced, antiquated, Reductio ad absurdum, Ipso facto. I sometimes worry the examiner isn't going to understand them.

    It's a phrase but: 'while acknowledging that...'

    I use it for adding an alternate view point
