Which reminds me: I have a prayer request. My confessor, Fr S, is waiting on a call from his hometown about his father figure (his actual dad commited suicide when Fr S was nine ). Father figure has had a triple bypass operation and is very ill at the moment. Still alive but they're not sure for how long. So I'd be grateful if everyone could pray about this. I know Fr S would appreciate it

I went to see Fr S for catch up and confession. He gave me a book about how to feel God in my life

Depends on whether you believe that what God said (or what is purported as God's word), is true. If yes, then you shouldn't be bogged down by guilt but should seek to try to change your way of life to live in accordance with your beliefs.

If no, then I don't see why you would feel guilty.
