It's too late to go in depth with this but so far as I know - it's the lust involved that is the sin. Also with porn you have the whole sex outside of marriage/sexual immorality issue.

I kinda keep being a christian on and off, im a christian atm i think i pray before i go to sleep but i dont really act christian in my life i used to go to bible camp when i was younger i dont go to church parents arent particularly religious and thanx for the chocolate! what about you

Well hopefully the fellowship of this Soc might help you to embrace the Christian lifestyle a bit more!

I'm a cradle Catholic but rarely make it to church due to severe mental illness and a phobia of churches. I have a very strong relationship with God, even though I feel He's kinda disappeared at the moment

Ah i think im catholic too lol, and oh im sorry to hear that what mental illness do you have? and thats great news u have a strong releationship with god, do u also have releationship with jesus? im sure hes not dissapointed in u he loves u

You think you're Catholic? I jest. You'd be very welcome over in the Catholic Soc too, if you ever feel like joining. Smaller crowd but still friendly

I have schizoaffective disorder (mixture of bipolar and schizophrenia) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

I don't talk to Jesus that much actually. Just to God. I'm trying to strike up a relationship with Mary but am not doing so well on that right now

what kind of abuse/ why did they abuse you?

and ha i think i know that catholics pray to mary ( this isnt meant in sarcastic tone lol) but i duno i just dont agree with it but i agree with most of catholicism

Well if you come over to Cath Soc and ask why we pray to Mary, I'm sure yawn and adamrules247 will explain it better than I could. Praying to her is not the same as worshipping Her though. She's not held at the same level as Jesus or God, because She has no power of Her own. Where is the sense or point in worshipping someone who has no power? She's just an intercessor. As are all the saints and all those who have died and gone before us

It was all psychological/emotional abuse/manipulation. If you dig deep enough, they did it because they are insecure people and unwittingly lash out at others and drag them down too. It's a complex story and not really one for an open forum where potential Oxbridge applicants might read it
