Anyone else received their accreditation but not got a contract through yet?

Don't have an employed number so can't even try getting my uniform yet. Annoying people are being paid for their training when I finished mine in April and still yet to be paid.

My SIA still says no record... does this mean my SIA application has been sat with G4S for over 3months now?
Listen to me carefully and you will be fine. Walk straight into your nearest uniform centre and collect your uniform, the only thing you need is your passport and your name.

Regarding your sia also follow these steps: phone the g4s department that deals with sia applications, most likely they have not sent your application due to the fact they have thousands, you need to phone them and make sure they find your application, the girls name is Jessica Leung she will help you, there number is 020 7068 5947. You might have to wait but don't give up

a random question for you all, but do you guys wear your uniform while you travel or do you guys get changed there? lol
you have to wear your uniform to the venue. anything extra you want to carry with you has to fit into your bumbag/pockets (as long as its permitted of course). You're not allowed water with you BUT you can take in an empty water bottle and fill it in with 'their water' once you're inside.

G4S are saying that SIA training is now complete.

oh damn lol. so we all gotta look hideously green no matter where we go. would've been nice if they could've supplied black trousers as uniform to look a bit more normal while travelling hours to get there

I bought a nice green cardi to go over and im goin to have the jacket in a bag if i carry it(weather dependant). The cardi is thin enough to fold nd fit in the bum bag thank god. So i wont be recognised by the bright green polo

Still sounds a bit terrible lol I don't mind the polo. It's the trousers! they're super baggy. I'm so used to being able to get changed at work

I haven't been given any accomodation. It takes me about an hour and a bit to travel there... I don't think I'd be eligible will I??
    When does she start?

I can't actually make the first shift even though I said I could to the guy on the phone (completely forgot about this thing I must attend). I called the number they told me to call on the email. The recorded message said "If you can't make your first shift, press 1" I pressed 1. The phone call ended.

Cargo ones look better on guys probably. lol I can fit both my legs in one leg of the trousers. I did guard training :s I have both PSA and OSA for 3 days. The rest are perimeter etc though.

ummm you should be eligable for travel still i know if you live on the other side of the m25 or whatever motorway it is you automatically get accomodation but i think if theres a large commute still but you live in london you can ask, i remember seeing a few people at the stratford centre asking and being given it when they lived in the outer boroughs

oh that blasted phone thing! every time ive rung it its been down -_- yar just email them otherwise i think you might be able to put it in through the ESS site under shifts ?

    she starts tuesday i believe

I don't live far. I actually live in zone 2, but transport happens to be rubbish at 5am.
Oooh, i'll probably see her then.

for fear of sounding life an idiot i have no idea what the zones are i know what you mean, trying to find transport to stratford from cutty sark for 5.45 shifts is completely impossible -_- cant hurt to ask them for accomodation though ?

YEP.. wouldn't hurt if the phone lines actually work! Do you know if we can discuss all of this (first shifts/accommodation) in Stratford? I'm going there tomorrow to exchange my uniform because it's massive and they had no smaller sizes before.

Zone 1 is central london area, zone 2 is a bit out of central london, and the number goes up with how far it is away from central. Stratford, for example, is zone 3
