Does anyone have the phone number for the people who deal with payment problems? I've just noticed a £600 pay hit on my ESS and would like a couple of answers...
The times I have actually worked is completely different to what is on ESS. We will see what happends on the 15th

    Just had a look on their intrananet and it said;
    July pay

We know there continues to be some concern over the next payroll run. But I want to make it clear to you all again - payment for the work done between 1-31 July 2012 will reach bank accounts on Wednesday 15 August 2012. We are using the manual timesheets you all signed-in on during July to record the shifts you worked during that month and you will be paid on your highest skill rate, even if you worked some shifts in lower skilled roles. If you received additional training or were promoted during the month, then your rate of pay will be higher from that time.

We will be issuing posters and employee flyers tonight, which will cover off the basics, which should be displayed and made available in the employee check-in and rest areas by lunchtime tomorrow.
So hopefully it should be fine lest i have to hire a lawyer -_-

I also expect the 3 hours of pay they promised to pick up accreditation and uniform

Provided you collected your accreditation from LOCOG and your uniform from the above location you will receive 3 hours pay on completion of your first shift.

I'm keeping a log of everything I expect. Time and date is logged that I have worked just in case because ESS is messed up it is showing £0 for me as well.

Is anyone else's venue getting stricter on schedules?? Last night we had a machine to check who was scheduled or not at the Hilton. We're so over staffed I think they will start turning people away soon if they turn up on their days off.

This is interesting. We have loads of LAPA security people working for G4S. They don't have scheduled duty but keep on working in venue. I had schedule till 13 August but it is changed and I have duty of 12 August only in the month of August.

I will not really worry about schedule as I made the impact of key member in my venue.

Are you sure? I know that G4S handles back of house during day. EVS is hired by LOCOG to handle front of house with stewardship responsibility. It is apparently true that we need more stewardship roles during game time. I found them quite professionals than G4S. their duty and responsibility is different. I am G4S security staff but we lack professionalism; eg communication and dealing. And also most of us hanging around texts, calls and social medias.

I am not generalising but lack of professionalism is evident.

Would you say these two things were abusive to me ?

    1. Manager told me to "shut the f**k up, you can leave at 7am then" in front of other collegues who ended up laughing at me. He did this because I asked him if he was sure to remember to sign me out on the timesheet as I didn't want my pay to mess up after he let me go 30mins early.
    WOW...

    2. The 2nd manager a few weeks ago stepped on my nice black polished shoes and crushed them , basically stepping on my toes and litterally creasing and dirtying my shoes in front of other collegues. He did this because I was not wearing the G4S supplied boots with metal toes caps but I have a medical issue with my feet/toes.
I can't believe what I just read, lost for words... I'd have stood up to those managers at the time, that's not acceptable.

True story man, I really didn't want to make a big scene I just shook my head and walked away. Then as I was traveling home I was furious and said I'm not going back.

I can even give their names out but I got no physical proof of the deal just g4s witnesses but I'm sure they wont sacrifice their jobs for my sake.

You are a big SHAMBLES G4S.

I know these seem like little problems but it has left me with the feeling of not wanting to turn up, I'd rather not get paid and not be disrespected. People I've spoken to have said I should have confronted the managers at the time of the incidents but I didn't want to escalate the problem while other colleagues were watching, I'm not sure if I should just bite the bullet now and get on with it. It is a really sucky job.
Contact the higher ups ASAP, they should be able to help you out hopefully.

I just realised it isn't all bad news.

Two shirts with no G4S logo on them.
A Fleece which I can iron off the G4S logo
A pair of Cargo trousers with no logo
    Steel Toe Cap boots.

Then the actual Uniform and the security pass.

    For nothing.

Just like I went shopping for the day. BUT I WANT TO WORK!

Don't feel abusive but you are given wrong information. There are G4S apart from some area. G4S hired many companies to do the job.

I'm in the same boat as you (minus the boots). Not started working because they won't give me a schedule. Been ready since July 1st and just losing out on potential earnings

I've not even tried to email them. Everytime I call they say the case is opened and I just have to wait. If I just had a phone number for the guys at Pitchford Street I think they could sort it out.

I lost my free oyster last night as well and it says to contact LOCOG but I can't find any details
