I was led to believe that you can't work more than eight shifts in a row without a break afaik... (12 hour shifts).
Really? Who by? They've actually scheduled me zero days off since late July until mid August. I'm having to decide for myself when to take some days off.

I've worked 3 shifts now without a schedule, i'm given a schedule now with 4 shifts but the 3 I did isn't showing. I was told as long as we sign in and out we will get paid even if we don't have a schedule.

Anyone know if i will be paid?
Wait for them to process the sign in sheets. I worked without a scedule for about 2 weeks (from 1'st of july) and now those shifts have appeared on the ess with hours worked so although I haven't been paid for them yet it should be coming on the 15th!

Why not just do 12 hours anyway? I was also considering shortening my shifts, but then I decided nah. It may be a long slog, but it's extra money and the job is only temporary so you won't be doing it forever anyway.

Yeah but the 12 hours was tough now they have sent me 20 miles away so it's going to take about 1.5 hrs each way. I'll judge it at the time though if they treat me badly I wont stay. I've experienced some fantastic and fun venues and some really bad.

Have you tried ringing them up? Apparently my details have been sent to LOCOG on the 25th but LOCOG haven't uploaded the new details which is what I'm being told
I call them everyday. All they say is to wait. They tell me "I understand your frustration sir", one even told me, "Look, I'm disgruntled that I have to come in and work 10 hours on a sunday". How disgruntling is it for me to not come in and get paid!

    Hi everyone...
Does anyone know if they allow us to wear make-up whilst working?

Yes, I assume so. I've worn makeup a few times to work before, and so have other women, and no one says anything about it. I doubt G4S would have much of a problem with it unless it was excessive.

Is anyone here actually working every single day nonstop with no days off?

That's what they've scheduled for me, but I've decided to take at least one day off a week anyway because it's too much otherwise.
I have 7 days duty per week in ESS but I am working 5 days only. Speak with your line manager and make internal arrangements. You do mot need to contact G4S for this.
