Employee Self Service, where you can see/change your details, view work schedules, payslips and bank details. You can register to use it yourself but you need your payroll number first.
This was posted from The Student Room's Android App on my GT-I9100
Thanks
I'm going to chase them up for my Payroll Number. Can you link me to the Employee Self Service
I don't think I'll be changing my bank details anytime soon. G4S has been so bloody slow.... it may not end up being paid in on time!!!
This is the most annoying and longly drawn out recruitment process that I have ever dealt with.
It's quite strange that I every time I get frustrated with waiting and I email them that the relevant department has booked me onto training or I have somehow magically passed the LOCOG accreditation.
I bet if I emailed them several months ago RE: Accreditation , I would have got my damned uniform and everything by now!! -
Re: G4S 2012 Olympics JobYou should ring them up and say.(Original post by tkm18)
Just got my invitation to psa/osa xray training in London.
No mention of travel or accommodation, coming from Glasgow.
Never mind the fact I've told them about 5 times now they said I can't do xray cos I'm colourblind
They get worse every day I deal with them.
Maybe the reason why they don't take notice of this is that you haven't noted this down on your initial application form under disabilities.
If you told them by form then it is entered onto the system and everybody within G4S who look up your personnel file will see this but if you just tell the operator or the interviewer , chances are there will not be a permanent record of this.
I suggest you send an email to both:
opsupport@uk.g4s.com
and
G4S-Training@uk.g4s.com
Op Support will deal with your deployment (to a job suitable for your disabilities)
and Training......... with suitable training.
With colorblindness you might be able to work in PSA (the screening area) but you cannot handle X-Ray or Rapiscan equiptment. -

Yeh, I'll mark that down on the application form.
For what's its worth, they tested me at the initial interview, was told couldn't do xray.
Was called about doing xray training 5 or 6 weeks ago, told th about the colourblindness, was told I was getting to moved to patrol team then.
Now I'm on psa rapiscan training.
They've not got a clue -

After traveling for nearly 2 hours to the sight early in the morning I nearly got refused to work until they had found an email clarifying me.
I was put on for 7 day 12 hour shift because my scheduler only cared about his targets, my job description with G4S was 48 hours a week and London location, he gave me 84 hours outside of London.
Anyway I worked 3 days and then I phoned in sick because I couldn't cope up with 6 hours sleep and no free time to organise myself. At that time I was told by the sight I can't return to there because I missed a day and when I phoned my scheduler he said I was removed off the system now (basically fired?) lol.
Anyway I spoke to a nice fella about a new sight and he has arrange me to work there so I will give that a shot and see if I am really "off the system", the new sight is closer and he said I would be able to get more reasonable shifts there.
If they really do blacklist me anyone know where I could take this further? Complaints department?? I feel that my work conditions and agreement with G4S was broken and unfair.
If i can still complete my 5 day shift requirement then I really wouldn't give a damn about G4S dropping me out of this big failure of an event.
As long as I get paid for my Training, SIA Badge, Days I worked and Travel expenses I'm happy. -
Re: G4S 2012 Olympics JobSpeak to the union they'd advise you on how to take it further if it comees to that.(Original post by Erazor)

Re: G4S 2012 Olympics JobIf it's anything like my previous sight then no they won't know if you had training. Everyone was doing everything and specific roles were taught in 2 mins!(Original post by RAMAZAN)
yh but do you think if i just go there they wont know if ive done the training or not i mean how hard can it be i reckon if i just turn up then they wont know the better, waht do you think?
PS. Which idiot keeps giving my post a negative rating just because I'm having a bad experience with g4s, you are funny mate, whoever you are!Last edited by Erazor; 04-07-2012 at 20:53. -
Re: G4S 2012 Olympics Job
We'll I phones them, honestly, they are brutal.
They asked if I was partially or completely colourblind, then suggested I just turn up at training and explain to the tutor my situation.
Yeh, I'll travel from Glasgow to London to be sent away after ten minutes.
Was assured I'd get a call before 8.30 tonight to sort it out.
Yup, still waiting. Hahaha -
Re: G4S 2012 Olympics JobI've been told and assured that my travel expenses would be paid especially after they advised me to take a taxi when I was complaining about public transport at those earlier hours, but I'm not 100% sure(Original post by coolasacucumber)
