Re: "I got an offer from Oxford for 2012 and now I want to chat!!!!" threadOxford nightlife minus all the undergrads will be very different to term-time Oxford nightlife (seeing as how student clubnights are pretty much all students). But have fun if you do come!(Original post by Reminisce)
Just had a thought though, staying a night would be a good opportunity to explore the Oxford nightlife

Re: "I got an offer from Oxford for 2012 and now I want to chat!!!!" threadYou can do that actually... not sure what the pricing is like, but yeah(Original post by KingMessi)
I very much like the idea of staying for a night, but where would one stay? I doubt that there'd be much chance of us staying in student accommodation...

Edit: it looks like you're required to have someone aged 21+ in your group

Well, then, that's definitely worth having a proper look at later, in that case...

Re: "I got an offer from Oxford for 2012 and now I want to chat!!!!" threadWhich, of course, as prospective poor students, we need to do.(Original post by medbh4805)
Good for keeping costs down (only need to buy a present for the host at the end). Should probably pair up/get into groups for safety though, if we were to do it
I think we need a thread for this...

no no LOTR reference!!! I'm sowiie!!!!!
how are you today Messi?
I pulled a muscle in my neck so I'm walking around like the elephant man ololololol.
But I'm in a forgiving mood today, luckily.
I'm fine; I'm at work at the moment waiting for them to give me more work....
I'm so tired and my Achilles tendon is playing up.
I'm sorry to hear that.
You should be taking care of yourself! How's your day been?

Re: "I got an offer from Oxford for 2012 and now I want to chat!!!!" threadNot sure if any use, but Travelodge allows three adults per room and the price (which is per room not per person) can be very low if you book far enough in advance. Occasionally there's a special offer - I've got them for a tenner before now (yes, for three people!). More usually, it will be thirty quid or so per room if you book weeks in advance, but can be up to double that if you leave it till the day before. The prices vary by day and date and the website presents it in a nice clear date grid so that you can easily see the cheapest days.
The Oxford Pear Tree Travelodge is the most convenient, right next to the Park and Ride, ten mins to the centre and £2.70 return. Wheatley and Thame Travelodges are on a good bus route (280) but can be up to £8ish return and 30-45 mins away. -
So excited... And really looking forward to wearing a college hoodie(Original post by such_a_lady)
Is anyone else still buzzing to get gowns?

haha at first I skim read it and thought you said 'waiting for them to give me more money' haha
put an arrow through it, it did Achilles wonders for his Achilles' tendon
I knowwwwwwwwwww... it was really bad because it super packed in when I was in the shower trying to get changed. It was seriously painful and only my boyfs mum was in the house and I don't know 'Help I've sprained my neck and it's really painful taking my clothes off' in Georgian....
A bit stressful, trying to get my boyfriend to sort out his stuff for his Leiden application with getting visa/ money etc, but his Eastern European laid-backness has kicked in..
Don't think he quite understands how Europe Europe works haha So we need to FIND teh post office today (wherever that is...) but right now he's happily playing away on his Soviet piano not giving a shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
