Sorry, you're right. I just checked the email again. The "London" pickup is actually in Essex. *sigh*. And they won't tell us the time until friday "due to the changing nature of the travel industry". Right.

Chafford Hundred - 23:30 30/03/12
Dover - 01:00 31/03/12

We should be in resort by about 15:00 - 17:00 31/03/12

It's a long trip but i've done it 6 times now and it's bearable, everyone's usually really excited for the first few hours then tired after the ferry so if you're lucky you'll sleep a good chunk of it then we'll get DVDs on and before you know it we're in resort. There will of course be stops at service stations (they're better in france) for breakfast and lunch and once more at the supermarket at the bottom of the mountain.

Holy crap! 11:30pm :P I guess I'll have to get the 8pm train or something so that I don't miss the last one or anything.

If anybody wants to meet me somewhere around Kings Cross or something through the day to treck over to the London pick up point then please message mee! I don't think I'll find my way on my own, seems very far an I'm from Newcastle :P

It's an intiative test. If you can't find your way around London, with it's myriad of signs [in your own language] and a huge array of maps and transport options available, then how will you manage in a foreign country with only a piste map?

Lol, some people do find it a bit 'daunting' though especially when they're not from a ginormous city, or if it's their first time in London. Plus if you mess up on the slopes you just keep on going nd have fun on the way down!

What time train you getting from Reading? Im going the same route except Ill be starting in Swindon, would be good not having to travel through London alone

20:52 - 21:21 Reading to Paddington
21:32 - 22:01 Circle Line to Tower Hill
22:20 - 22:53 London Fenchurch St to Chafford Hundred

There's a train that gets in at 23:23 but decided against it. It takes around 7 minutes to walk from Tower Hill to London Fenchurch. I might be pushing it so might get the 20:45 from Reading.

Ah I see, I'll definitely be going earlier than that as I've not travelled to/through London before so want to leave some extra time for delays/in case I get lost. Ah well lol.

It's really easy. Get off the train at Paddington and look for the Circle line. It's only one line to Tower Hill. After that I'll be using my iPhone for walking directions.

it will be around 2am i guess, we're on rolling ferries so we could get lucky and get on at 1.15 but if not we can just go on the next one. It will be P&O as poor seafrance have gone into liquidation.

As above we're on rolling ferries so no set time for the return but i imagine we'll be back to London by about midday on the 7th so manchester 4/5 hours after that.

i know that it can be annoying not having exact times like when you fly but it's so changeable depending on traffic, mountain road conditions (snow chains aren't easy to put on a coach) etc. so you'll just have to bare with us for details. as soon as i know any new info i'll let you guys know
