Yes, that's what I got for the income statement adjustment and balance sheet

But the cashbook should be 1160 CREDIT, then you add 255and take away 208, final you get 1207 which agreed with the balance on bank statement

if the cash book was 1160 credit.. then the bank reconcilliation would be

Balance per cash book (1160)
outstanding cheque + 255
Lodgments - 208
balance per bank statement = (1113)

the figuire i got in the cash book was 995 on the credit side
and i cnt remember the exact figuires, but i ended upwith (1207) which matched the bank statement, as on the bank statement it was 1207 on the credit side which shows its overdrawn..

:O i jus realised theres two ways of doing it, LOL you might of done it working from the bank statement? coz i workd my way from the cash book to the bank balance figuire, oh and there was two enteries for outstanding lodgements not 1..

anyways hoping to get an A..

but the cheque for how evermuch it was, was on the same column as the direct debit, and standing order payments.. therefore isnt this a cheque written out to pay for something?? thus the reason why i wrote cheque counterfoil.. blehh, myta misread the data not sure

For the rent account did you guys put the acruals in the credit side and the prepayment in the debit side and then the cheque (bank) on the debit side then both balance carried forward on the Credit side....then obviously balanced it off??

Hmm I wrote something like "the business would write a payment to creditors on the cheque to be presented to the bank and they would then record this information on the cheque counterfoil to keep on their own records" something like that

Btw, for the adjusted profit, did you get figures that mainly increased the profit, and one which had no effect and then I think 2 or 3 which decreased the NP?

I only got 1 other which increased the profit which was the prepayment... Apart from that I found all the others decreased the profit accept for the transfer from personal account which has no effect ...

Nahh it wasn't too bad, I knew all the definition exactly how the other marking scheme papers put it (I memorised them) apart from cheque, cost of sales which I made an educated guess on

And the bank reconciliation I wrote benefit which I think was 1b, again I memorised this from past papers and I wrote

"assists in prevention of fraud A's bank statement is an independent record"

"enables out of date cheques to be identified and written back"

"identifies dishonoured cheques to seek repayment from debtors"

I'm pretty sure it was Cheque counterfoil, and the Direct Debit is Bank Statement I have no doubt.
