Well, let's just say I'm most likely going to spend quuiiiite many years in Scotland due to a certain someone. No use getting a Finnish degree then!
Ah thats cool, no idea what the weather's like in Finland, but be prepared for a ton of rain ><

I've been to Scotland so many times by now that I'm used to it haha I'm more worried about the winds though. I'm fine with rain but not with windy storms!

Right now there's snow up to my mid-thigh over here. And I live in one of the most southern cities of Finland. Yup, that's winter for me!

Let's hope so! Wha specialism did you apply for?
Modern Languages! I reeeaaaallllyyy want to get in, my Personal Statement was directly targeted at this course because languages is the thing I am best at, and teaching is the job I want to do, but primary not secondary...it's hard to explain, like because I think primary languages are overlooked, and I don't want to teach just languages, I love all the different components of primary teaching. And I only applied to Aberdeen and Stirling for this reason (which in hindsight, and especially if I don't get in, was a ridiculous idea!) and Aberdeen cancelled the course...so I have an unconditional for Aberdeen to do just Hispanic Studies, but really Education is what I wanted to study as I feel the postgrad option is a little brief? Oh my days I'm so nervous waiting to hear from them, so sorry for rambling! Which specialism did you apply for? And do you have any other offers?

I'm sure they will offer you a place, if your personal statement is based around their course aww that is gutting about Aberdeen cancelling the course, but still congrats on the unconditional! I applied for the early years specialism because for me that's the one I'd find most interesting. I got a conditional for Edinburgh uni and I've had an interview for Dundee, so just waiting to hear back... I know someone who got rejected from Stirling and also someone with a conditional for the environment one..i'm getting so impatient now!! Best of luck to you anyway x

Ahh thanks I phoned them today and the lady I spoke to said that the environmental ones were getting put on UCAS on Friday, and they started looking (I presume as in putting them on the computer, as they must've already sorted through them and made decisions) at the early years one today, but she wasn't sure about the modern languages one (how annoying haha!), but she thought that definitely this week or the beginning of next week! I have the worst patience ever, but I'm so excited that the wait is nearly over, it's like Christmas but more important and kinda even more exciting Wow that's really good to get a conditional from Edinburgh...it'd be a beautiful city to live in. And I'm sure you'll hear from Dundee soon! I agree, the early years specialism does look really interesting, it's a shame I can't do both haha, all the psychology and stuff would be amazing. Good luck x

Yeah that's no problem! Well, in S4 I moved from England to Scotland, half way through my GCSEs, so I did 6 standard grade/int 2s and Higher English (A) and Higher Modern Studies (C). Then last year, I took Advanced Higher English (B), Higher French (A), Higher Human Biology (A), Higher Graphic Communication (B) and Int 2 Spanish (A). I hope that helps! I'm sure you'll hear soon - I heard just before 3pm today so they will probably be sending out loads tomorrow
    Good luck!

Yay!!! Aww I'm so glad to know someone on the course (since I think there's only 15 of us in each specialism?!). That's great news! Are you going to any of the applicant days?
