Congrats to everyone who got offers ! Anyone else got an interview for UWS this week ?

I was supposed to, however, I've had other offers for other uni's which I'd prefer to go to
Argh I got an interview invitation from Aberdeen today and the interview is on Thursday!!! I only have like a few hours to prepare myself for the event as I have a load of stuff to do this week  I wonder how I can get a good passport sized photo of myself and send it by e-mail? Is it ok if I just take a pic of myself at home against a white wall and crop it properly... Argh.

I'm happy but at the same time annoyed! Why did they not inform me any earlier?

Me too, it's much better knowing someone else  (something like that I think!).
I'm not sure, I went to an open day, how different do you think it would be? I think I might just go to one anyway, just so I can properly see the place, now that I know I'm going there - not just hoping! Are you going?

Yeah, I went to the open day in October and thought it was all lovely, but the applicant day on the 17th is the day after my 18th birthday, and I didn't have any other plans, and would really like to see it all again (September seems so far away!). I'm so excited now, I just hope it's as nice as I remember (especially since I already firmed it hahaha).

I was wondering if you've done any Higher languages? I will have Higher French and Spanish (and though it's not looking like it will be a very good grade, Advanced Higher French), so I was wondering if I will be able to do the advanced classes that the prospectus talks about on the French/Spanish & Latin American Studies pages, as opposed the beginners?

Also, did you get like a welcome pack or an applicant pack or anything from Stirling? I haven't had anything yet but heard that this is what unis send so you can book accomodation etc? Thanks  x

I've officially firmed it now too! are you going to either of the applicant days? x

I went to one last September and I loved it, I can't wait for September now! I'm not sure whether or not I'll go to an applicant day, I can't make the one on the 17th so I'm thinking about the one in April  It will be as nice, though maybe not so fun if the weathers like this!

I have, I did Higher French, and Higher Gaelic but that's not really all that relevant to this! I'm sure you will be able to, after doing Advanced Higher I doubt they'd expect you to go all the way back to the beginners stage - depends how far they go back I suppose, I'm really not sure..

Not yet, I think we should get one soon though, I hope so! x

Thanks  Aww I know I'm so excited to get all the other information etc, I think I have read everything I can find on the internet so it will be nice to have official documents haha  Have you thought about which halls you want to stay in? I'm ridiculously excited for September, I can't believe it's actually happening, like leaving school, leaving home etc!

Hey I'v also got the same worries. Iv got an unconditional for glasgow, and an interview with strathclyde ( still begging that Edinburgh will get back in touch with me but really doubting it now.)
Cant really find any information on this Catholicism in Glasgow on the net. It has really put me off and I was stoked before. I think alot of people are of the same frame of mind. I wasn;t even goin to go to the strathclyde interview but now im travelling from Manchester to do it because of it.

I spoke to someone who is on my course here who has actually dropped out of Glasgow and re-started the degree because of the emphasis on Catholicism - she said that although you can elect to not attend the specific lectures on Catholicism which are not examined or something, you're still made to study it somehow. Hope that helps
Unsuccessfuls from Dundee and Stirling today :/ Which just means I have to nail tomorrow's interview for Strathclyde!
