Re: Primary Education 2012 ScotlandI remember those! The form where you have to rate yourself out of 3 or something? It took me forever D: You take it with you and they talk about it in your interview if I remember correctly(Original post by aroy45)

Re: Primary Education 2012 Scotlandyeah, and you have a maximum of 14 points :P Just going to wait until the next few weeks are over so I can get these prelims out the way!(Original post by HeatherHatter)

Re: Primary Education 2012 ScotlandYeah, so you can't pick 3 out of 3 for everything because nobody's perfect(Original post by aroy45)

I asked someone to help me with it and found it much easier when I'd talked it over

Re: Primary Education 2012 Scotland
Hello
I've just spoken to the nice admissions people in Stirling and they said that they won't be holding interviews for Primary Education this year, and that they are starting to read through the applications but probably noone will hear from them until the end of February/beginning of March. Well at least that's something! -
Re: Primary Education 2012 ScotlandOh me too! have you had any information sent to you about it, do you know if we have to do any presentations? Im from Belfast so finding information on Scottish education is hard any help will be great. This is my first interview im so nervous

well done on getting an interview

Re: Primary Education 2012 Scotlandreally, there are no interviews this year? That's kind of a relief! Like at least we'll know straight away if we get an offer or not if you get me. (:(Original post by evie1234)

How did you find your interview last year, was it as bad as i think it's going to be ? I always get pure nervous and forget to say things haha. -
Re: Primary Education 2012 ScotlandYeahh I know(Original post by sarahh8)

Well I rang them to ask when I would be likely to hear about my application, and they said they'd decided not to do interviews and would be sending offers towards the end of February... still a bit of a wait, but it's better that having the interviews in April and then waiting to hear!! Which specialism did you apply to?
-
Re: Primary Education 2012 Scotlandyaaay, that's good that they're not doing interviews, even if it is still a bit of a wait, at least there's not the stress of an interview aswell! Anyone else apply for the modern languages specialism?(Original post by evie1234)

Re: Primary Education 2012 ScotlandI was ill on the day of my interview so I found it horrific(Original post by sarahh8)

if I wasn't so ill I don't think I'd have done as badly as I did but I couldn't think straight so I don't think I did myself justice, which is probably why I was rejected (though I think I must have been on the 'maybe' list since it took them forever to decide, I didn't hear back for weeks!) It was just a one-on-two interview (one of me and two of them) and we didn't really talk about anything to do with education to be honest. They kept asking about creative things though, and I think I fell down when I said I wasn't Picasso and wasn't going to pretend to be because I didn't think it was right to lie just to get a place in a university - if they didn't want me for who I am, then I don't deserve a place...
It wasn't that scary, the worst bit was the wait outside - they were running very late by the time they got to me (I hate having a name at the end of the alphabet - it means I'm ALWAYS last at interviews!) when I got in, they were really friendly and tried to put me at ease and everything, it's just unfortunate that I was ill
I don't know if they'll do it the same this year though =/
congrats x
