Disclosure's live set? Fantastic.
How was Roots Manuva?

I loved Disclosure. Was probably highlight of the day. Probably helped the sun was only out for their set and it rained the rest of the time. But yeah really enjoyed them.

Roots was sick, was slightly disappointed he didn't play much of his classics however.

Ahh, that's a shame. Looking forward to seeing him later this year but I should probably check out his more recent stuff I guess.

People where you at?!
Saw some good sets at Parklife, relevant ones being Gold Panda, Stay+, Maceo Plex, Claude VonStroke, Julio Bashmore, Mount Kimbie, Person Sound b2b Ben UFO - all great! Saw Jackmaster too but his kit was ****ed but he threw some good tunes on regardless.

Greco-Roman were in the Boiler Room earlier - Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs with a jungle set (new album out, go check), Baio (Vampire Weekend bassist with a very decent EP worth checking), Disclosure, Joe Goddard, little bit of Skream... Class from all involved.

TNGHT album sampler is out:

Speaking of Maceo...

Went out on my own tonight - no one else was interested. Had this tune playing in the car, absolute monster. Can't get over how good it is. This is the kinda thing I want to be making eventually. Sleek, sexy, classy house.

How was Gold Panda, Mo? Desperate to see him one day.

Seen Maceo, quality... He is a sick producer/dj. I've never really had the balls to go to a big night on my own, how was it? I was thinking of going to see Steffi as i might be able to get in free as my mate has free GL for all just jack house night events, and he is out of the country. They've never checked his ID when checking in... Tempted, but i would be going on my own..

It depends on your comfort zone, and how comfortable you are approaching random people. There's always a mild sense of "I'm gonna look like an awkward tool", but if you're willing to push yourself into social situation, it almost always end up a good night.

For example last night I just grabbed a beer, headed to the smoking area, asked a random group for a light and sat down with them, start chatting. Cool people so I chilled with them for the night (along with endless old friends I bump into).

Yeah true, often I can end up on my own for large periods i find anyway if it's just with 1 mate or something. I'll give it a try if it comes to that some point.

He was great, well worth seeing! The sound was a little off in the tent he was playing in, but that wasn't 'cause of him - if you get the chance to see him, do!

That Maceo Plex re-visit is beautiful, enjoyed that xxxy remix too.

Finally listened to Lone's Galaxy Garden, really good album guys.

Though I think the ****elmut track Gob Bluth posted is the best thing I've heard today, beautiful.

Edit: Haha, censored.

I went to parklife. Have to beg to differ regarding bashmore's set i am afriad. I found it to be underwhelming and lacking energy...could tell he was recovering from flu. Although the meteoric rise in atmosphere when the "oh baby" of au seve kicked in was a highlight. My favourite sets were Maya Jane Coles, Maceo Plex, Joy Orbison, Claude von Stroke and Damian Lazarus.

That's fair enough. Not gonna lie, I did only catch half of it - will hopefully get the real deal at Bestival.

Really annoyed that on the Saturday part of it was closed off early on, never got to see Lone + Space Dimension Controller =[

Maya Jane Coles has done a decent remix for Florence + The Machine. I notice recent remixes of Florence tunes have been done by Maya Jane Coles, Clams Casino, The Weeknd, Benny Benassi and Breakage. Quite a selection tbh.

Also come across a promo for Moda Black, mixed by Jaymo + Andy George, which looks to have some decent stuff on.

Bashmore dropped a new tune too, Troglodytes, which is available for free download here:

Don't be put off by length. Big tune.

Went to see Steffi (Berlin based DJ) on Saturday at a 'Just Jack' house night. One of the best nights i've had. Venue was in a recording studios. Got in for free due to mate having free GL but he's out of the country so got in for free under his name. (fact it was free made it more epic) Had the vibes of the most epic house party ever on how it was like. Just Jack parties take it to the next level. Their focus is on an epic night and party atmosphere rather than just having different rooms playing different music all night long for example which nearly every club and its organisers seem to do.

Steffi dropping KiNK - Existence was :coma: Such a huge track on a night out.
