(Fantastic Online play, probably didn't receive as much credit as it should have done, custom maps were significantly better than Starcraft custom maps)

Bioshock / Half-life 2
(Can't decide between them, both are fantastic games. HL2 is linear but feels more like an adventure, Bioshock is more open and probably has the most engaging atmosphere of any game ever made)

World of Warcraft
(Stigma attached, yes, but it's a masterpiece of the genre)

Portal
(Probably the only game that could be described as perfect, a gaming innovation milestone)

Counter-strike: Source
(Very fun, very versatile and a vast amount of custom maps and mods available. Probably the smoothest and 'cleanest' multiplayer FPS even now.)
