Re: Training Goals 2012Very similar starting stats to me apart from me having a slightly better squat and you having a better DL. Considering we both lost a lot of weight during 2011, will be good to follow what happens during 2012.(Original post by mituozo)

Bench: ~90kg
Deadlift: 185kg
Squat: 135kg
Press: 57.5kg
Goal
Bench: 120kg
Deadlift: 220kg
Squat: 170kg
Press: 75kg -
Re: Training Goals 2012My weight loss was mostly in 09, so don't really have that excuse for this year - stayed relatively constant between 175 and low 180's. Want to get down early on this year to ~160 then work up from there. Hopefully doing a proper bulking diet whilst something like madcow will net me some good progress.(Original post by Tango189)

that front squat is far to ambitious, i take it you'd be able to bs 180+ by march lol -

Big goal is not to get injured/**** myself up. That's the most important one.
After that, I want to get on the platform in march-april time to do a PL comp with some friends.
Goals are:
75kg class
105kg Bench
145kg Squat
180kg DL
So basically where I was this summer when everything was going well. Just need to stick to the programme and it'll be fine. Build up my base of strength then **** about with singles later.
Other goals are to press 60kg strict for paused reps, to get my Pendlay Row somewhere in the neighbourhood of my bench and to chin BW+30kgx3. I think that hitting these two will be good for hitting my powerlifting goals.Last edited by The Blind Monk; 03-01-2012 at 21:18. -

LT: To be able to complete a half marathon by the end of 2012 would be pretty fantastic.
ST: Next training programme is to follow a proper 5k speed programme and try and improve it, then move to a 10k, then see how i'm doing from there.
Other goals: Monitor to make sure i'm not losing weight in the wrong way, do not drop below 50kg, build abs muscle, keep moving well away from skinny fat days! (from 2011 - who said that everyone doesn't keep new year's resolutions? not me!), focus on proper warm ups/downs and avoiding injury. -

80-85kg bodyweight by my bday in june
Lifts:
Squat:150-160kg
Bench: 100kg
deadlift:200kg+
How far away is the gym from newstreet ? :s -

i learnt how to 'power squat' so i've deloaded everything to around 60-70%
yhh with bench i have to tuck one elbow while flaring the other lol.....dunno why just how it is. My bench was **** due to not doing it frequently and not adding assistance.
from new street u got to catch a train to lea hall which takes 2 minutes -

Re: Training Goals 2012basically when i was benching one of my elbows would be flared while the other would be tucked, to correct it i have to physically/mentally think about tucking one elbow while flaring the other so that they even up a bit more.(Original post by ibysaiyan)
