Re: ♛ ♪♫ The Hip-Hop Society MK II ♪♫ ♛why? it's no more of a lazy sample than NWA's?(Original post by desijut)
How the **** did he get away with this? Im all for sampling but this is ridiculous... and how did he just get it? He must have had to pay a ridiculous amount of money

Re: ♛ ♪♫ The Hip-Hop Society MK II ♪♫ ♛that was the song I meant to link to (different video mind), i must have messed up the tags.(Original post by desijut)
you mean:
Looks like he just sampled it from this actually, which makes it worse, it looks like it was re released.
Oh and im back on that touch it remix - busta rhymes, mj blige, rah digga, missy elliot, lloyd banks, papoose, DMX. Damn some of them go hard.
what i was meaning was Labrinth's sampling is no worse than NWA's, but no-one ever says "that's outrageous" about their version, so it's really not that bad. There's plenty out there which are worse.
that's one of my favourites, they don't even take the sound of the car-crash out. -
Re: ♛ ♪♫ The Hip-Hop Society MK II ♪♫ ♛to me the NWA version put a different angle on the song whereas labrinth kept it the same and updated the instrumentsused(Original post by munn)

Re: ♛ ♪♫ The Hip-Hop Society MK II ♪♫ ♛It's a valid discussion on a sampling issue. What exactly is the problem? Is Labrinth not 'real' enough for you?(Original post by worker13)
Why are you talking about labrinth? Stop spamming. -

I think the salient point about that Labrinth tune is that it's ****ing abysmal -
Re: ♛ ♪♫ The Hip-Hop Society MK II ♪♫ ♛oh dam why was that?(Original post by Jingers)
Either Pray for Me, Whatever it Takes, Long Way to Go (Clinton Sparks remix) or All of Me (JRaynes remix), Dear Diary and Hiatus (both Kno remixes) lol. I've got too many.
The Birmingham show got cancelled so i was pisssssssssed.
thats wackkkkk
yea the show was good- i'm not gonna lie it wasn't amazing, they didnt do a brilliant job.. but the best part of the night was being so close to joey (at the front of the stage .. standard procedure haha) royce was quiet, i expected maybe just a lil more from him but it seems they were happy taking a back seat while joe pretty much ran the show
but honestly, i think he was on something.. he was actin wild. but never the less very happy to have seen him tbh -

I doubt Joe was on anything. He was probably just really excited being in the UK because he hasn't been here in years. He was real excited on being ESPN and the Jenny Boom Boom interview after. -

that's the point i'm making
it's a straight lift
THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO GET RID OF THE SOUND OF THE CAR CRASH (the line in the original being, "I still remember the window of the car that you went through", followed by a car crash sound). It serves no purpose in that song. -
