Heyy! Ah well done Well, I was thinking either a single room at Butler court (as it is right next to the art studios) or william morris which is near by as well! They both seemed pretty nice I think alot of the foundations students are dotted around? I am not completely sure aha

Had my interview on Monday and got the letter yesterday to say I got a place! I was thinking about accommodation as well, I have no idea which to go for but I'm thinking self catered, not that I can cook ..

I reckon self-catered to. The guy giving the like.. introductory speech? reccommended it so during lunch breaks and stuff you can just whip up something quick rather than trekking to the catering halls.

Yeah that's true, I also heard that dinner is at 5.30 everyday which is really early for me, and then I'd get hungry at like 10pm. So definitely self catered, but which one?!

got into loughborough too! thinking about accommodation, is it normal to apply in june? i hear that most of my friends are applying in april, but is this a UCAS thing? i'm not very aware of the UCAS system myself since i only applied directly to universities :/

I know we can apply for accomodation on 7-8th June but is there any information on whether we need to complete a summer project? Kind of worried in case I'm not in Loughborough's system or something ahh!

Ah well that's kind of reassuring atleast. I was 'stalking' last years art foundation group on facebook and it looked like they had quite a bit of work set for the summer! So I'm just preparing myself for a lot I guess. Hopefully we'll hear something sooon

Hey, I didn't hear anything back either which I think is strange but if we all haven't then it must be fine! I know someone from last years art foundation and she did have a lot of work for the summer, I'll try to get in contact with her and ask about it. I think we start 1st October? I'm not sure though

I've just noticed they have changed the date for the 'conditional offer' students to the 6th june, when before it was the 7'th. But then for art foundation it says 'as well as the conditional offers you can apply from the 7th' .. I don't know if this means we can now apply from the 6th and they haven't changed it, or we are still the 7th .. they updated this two days ago

Oh that's really confusing! I just had another look now and I'm assuming they still mean the 7th onwards but if they haven't updated it then that could be annoying. I guess we'll have to try and apply on the 6th just incase? Or I'll probably just contact them at some point this month

and ahh I suppose that's good about the summer project, as apparently Loughborough starts on 1st October when most other foundations start early September.. so atleast we're doing some kind of work

The closets halls are William Morris + Butler Court. The rest are about 10-15 mins away which isn't bad. One tip is log on as soon as you can as the rooms go pretty fast. There is a lot of summer work which you hand in on the first day. Any qs just ask

Thank you for the info! I am wondering whether to go self catered or catered for accommodation, because at the interview they said for art foundation it might be easier to go self catered? what do you think about this, thanks!

Yeah we can always check on the 6th then go back on the 7th My dad just told me he rang Loughborough today just to check they received my application, which they have so it's fine if you haven't heard anything back. They also said we get the Summer project in July

Yeah I saw that to, but then I realised that was under the heading 'first year undergraduates' rather than foundation. But then I found this:

So maybe we get an email early June rather than May? My friend has applied to do engineering so I'll ask her if she's got any emails.

But as far as I saw the email was to give us the application number but I'm pretty sure our number was on the form we sent off to confirm our place anyway, unless of course it's changed now :/

I'm getting slightly worried now! I thought we could just apply on the 7th, I didn't realize we needed to receive a code in email before this date. I spoke to a friend who does English at Loughborough, she said she never got the email so she couldn't apply and missed the date. She had to go through clearing and she was very very lucky to get a place, and a place she wanted. I don't want to risk that though!
