hey i still havent recieved any email either, the last time i phoned them up,(last week) they just said that they havent got everyones back yet and i should hear from them soon!
what was the email address that you guys have emailed them on? as i want to send an email to see whether i will get an answer.

I just don't know whether to be glad that am not the only one who still hasn't received an email yet or what.
Been applying for other jobs just in case Manpower turn round and say "Sorry we can't have you any more". Like I freaking applied in January yet now in June you tell me I don't have the job?

I passed interview on the last date possible, think it was April 3rd or something? Got my accreditation back about 10 days ago and just got my training dates confirmed for 5th July - Hyde Park Store. I'm away from the 22nd June to 19th July so I won't be able to make it! Will ring them tomorrow and see if I can be put at any other training session I can make otherwise I may have to give up the whole job .

I just called and they said they accepted too many people so if you don't get a reply by Friday you don't get a job

What the hell?? I just called them up and they were like "yh if we dont your accredation back by Friday then you wont get the job" Im soo annoyed!! They say we got through like back in February and then last minute they back out!! I really needed a job for the summer! ((

Hey everyone.
I got an email this afternoon stating my training date which is a few weeks before the start of the games. Anyone else got their date?

Sorry to hear that some of you haven't heard back after your accreditation. That is/was the longest part.

Don't agree with the way some people have been treated. Maybe because they're a startup company specifically for the Olympic games, they overlooked some things. Hopefully you all hear back from them soon.

OMDASS! i called LOCOG the people who handle the acreditation and they told me my details were never sent! wth! and i called manpower back and they said they will get back to me on this! Iam not taking no for an answer, it was their fault for not sending off my details! IDIOTS!

My training is due to take place on 6th july at hyde park store but Im in Magaluf! ahhhhh! anyone know if there is an alternative training date? It's their own fault for leaving it too late!

In addition, my preferred location was Eton Dorney (Rowing). The hyde park store must be a hub for training I presume and then everyone assigned to the workplace they requested?

We have had 7 years to prepare for this and they leave it until a few weeks before hand. Righttttttttttttttttttt........

Yeah I'm pretty sure that Hyde Park is what they're using as the 'training centre' because I don't remember that being one of my three preferred venues. AND Sooo true about the 7 years wasted when they could have been planning this all at least a year before.

This situation is really frustrating. I would have expected them to have a much better organisation. I mean, I've passed my assessment in February and still haven't heard back from my accreditation. And judging by the comments I've read here I won't be getting the job. Sucks because I missed out in applying for other summer jobs thinking I had this one assured...

hi ive just joined ive been following this thread for a while now because it's providing way more information that retail people/manpower are! I just rang them and they said theyre still waiting back from alot of people's accreditation process, some came back yesterday but you should hear back from them by the end of the week. they didnt say anything to me about not having the job if you dont hear from them by friday though. i am getting so annoyed the last i heard from them was that id passed the assessment centre and it would take upto 8weeks to hear back from them, think its been 11 weeks now???!! i really need this job, i applied in january, got the assessment in april and passed in april, IT'S NOW JUNE! seriously bad organisation!

Just phoned them up and lady said that she will check whether my one has been recieved or not and said no, then told me that they have been advised by LOCOG to not accept any ones application that isnt recieved by friday... they are seriously badly organised , many ppl probably didnt apply for summer jobs thinkin they had this one secured! will phone them up again tomorrow.

There's a few different dates people are going on, I'm going on the 14th. Call them and ask if you can change.

Seriously pathetic! I called up yesterday and she just said, its not their fault! Its the LOCOG and the home office that checks all the security! I was like but you cant just tell me now! Thats so unfair and she goes just keep waiting! How rude! I really needed a summer job and they tell me now, yo most likely wont have a job!!
