Re: LSE Official firmer's thread - 2012Probably means...Good on paper....Not quite good in person...(Original post by hopegyable)
Could you tell me how you ask for feedback??Do you just send an e-mail and ask them for feedback on their decission ??

Re: LSE Official firmer's thread - 2012Did you get your offer from the LSE in December ? Oh I couldn't care less about what the DoS at Trinity Hall thought about me :P(Original post by shirley0y)
Congrats on your Cambridge and LSE offers!
Got rejected by Cambridge pre-interview. I guess the fact that my offer is among the first bunch given out by LSE (probably the uni with the lowest acceptance rate!) means that I have the strength as an applicant, whatever the 2 particular admissions tutors at St. John's thought. -
Re: LSE Official firmer's thread - 2012No, I got my LSE offer on Jan 12--just a few days ago.(Original post by J.Darren)

I think I have the ability and potential and deserved a chance at Cambridge. Yes I think they were wrong to have denied me an interview and I'm quite piqued that they haven't given me any feedback, but I can't pretend I don't care. The thought of Cambridge is painful, but beautiful at the same time. It's like a shattered romance. I still hold the prospect of doing my postgrad there, even though it would not be the same as undergrad.

Re: LSE Official firmer's thread - 2012Don't think that's correct - all my other courses have the actual start date. I'm glad LSE doesn't actually start on September 1st though!(Original post by alexsasg)
Because I believe that on ucas, all universities put the 1st of whatever month they begin..so since they begin on the 30th, they've put the 1st. If they began sometime in October, they would have put the 1st Oct. That's what I was told anyway. -
Re: LSE Official firmer's thread - 2012
Hi everyone,
I was fortunate to get my offer back in early December, (hold tight the Business Maths and Stats crew) and in the offer pack it states as having Michaelmas term starting on the 4th of October, not sure if that's any use to anyone, and whether that means Freshers is the week prior to that? -
Re: LSE Official firmer's thread - 2012
hey everyone... ive just rang up admissions about re sits as i dont believe i have done very well in my Jan exams i have just sat and they told me that resists do not count towards the offer even if i still fulfilled my conditional offer of AAA.
is this really correct? im guessing so since it was lse who told me but would just like to see if anyone else thought differently as i do?
i thought it would be fine aslong as i stil got AAA overall? any help would be great, thanks Sam -
Re: LSE Official firmer's thread - 2012seriously?? I always thought resits are ok with everyone apart from Cambridge... so so glad that I didn't find that out if its true beforehand my C4 exam, otherwise I would have been so stressed...(Original post by Sam-8)

Re: LSE Official firmer's thread - 2012Well that's what the woman said at admissions, whether she interpreted me wrong or not I'm not sure(Original post by lordvulture)

Late December
You firming?

Re: LSE Official firmer's thread - 2012She has interpreted you wrong she thinks your talking about a2 not modules. The offer stands as overall grade and you are able to meet it by resist provided you gain your offer overall in June 2012(Original post by Sam-8)

Re: LSE Official firmer's thread - 2012Ok, how sure are you about that? Have you rang up yourself? I just don't want to think it'll be alright then resit and throw the offer I wanted away because of a silly mistake. And thanks for your reply, much appreciated(Original post by smoky188)

Re: LSE Official firmer's thread - 2012Woo! Lucky ones who don't have to wait! Yeah, I did, but got rejected after interview.(Original post by J.Darren)
Yeah, I reckon that we are the first batch to receive an offer from the School to read Law
Did you apply to Oxbridge ?
I'd be very stressed right now if I was still waiting on LSE - Oxford and LSE were the only two universities that I was absolutely in love with and desperate to go to!
