Could do with some advice picking universities!
finding it extremly hard to pick a firm and insurance!
I'm predicted ABB and I am applying for psychology and basically can't pick at all which university to put as my firm and insurance, I know I don't have to pick right now but I just need some kinda idea. Could do with some opinions so could you please rank these from best to worst in your opinions? I've included the grades I would need to get into these places too.

    Sussex - AAB
    East Anglia - ABB
    Heriott-Watt - ABB
    Plymouth- BBB
    Northampton-BBC

Out of them, the only ones I ever hear about are Sussex, UEA and Plymouth (and that's only because Susan Blackmore works there).

Sussex is a decent department and probably one of the biggest departments in the country. Apparently a third of sussex students are doing some form of psychology. That's probably just an exaggeration though.

Ranking: Sussex (by a long way), UEA (pretty good), Heriott-Watt (quite a bit further down), Plymouth, Northampton.

It's probably up there in the top 15-20 departments in the UK.

Have you already applied for those unis?

Sussex is usually considered the best of those ones for psychology, probably followed by East Anglia, so purely in terms of their psychology departments, those are the ones I'd have as firm and insurance. However, of course you have to take into consideration other aspects of the universities- location, size, campus or city based, that sort of thing. Have you been to visit any of them? It'd be a good idea to if not- however good a department may be, you've got to love the university itself as well!

Yep, my friend managed to pursuade me to apply this year rather then next year but it made my application pretty rushed as my school deadline was mid-November

I'm booking some Psychology open days at Sussex, East Anglia and Plymouth. I don't think I'd consider Nothampton as an insurance and I'm unsure about Heriott-Watt
