    Law Firmers 2013
Anyone else firmed Newcastle for Law (or as an insurance choice)?

I have a conditional offer and firmed it about a week ago. Also, have you applied for accommodation yet?

Hey, thanks for the reply. I do have a few questions:

How have you found your first year so far in terms of workload, exams and settling in with people on your course and lecturers?
Also, what is your timetable like for Law?

    Thank you in advance.

First year isn't too bad i suppose we have reading to do for each sub topic this is normally a chapter or two a week...seminar prep is what will take up most of your time i generally do around 4-5 hours for each seminar. We also have seminar essays which generally come around every 2-3 weeks ish (there are only 8 essays for the whole year). Exam wise we have mocks in January for all the modules and finals in may. 3 out of the 4 modules are 100% exam the other one is a mix of 10% practical 30% assessed essay and 60% exam.Overall the work load is totally manageable and there is plenty of time to enjoy the infamous Newcastle night life

Settling in is really easy generally because you will find lawyers in every accommodation so it is easy to meet new people.Plus the law school has a mentor programme so you automatically get to mix with people in your year and the rest of the school.

Which accommodation is your first choice ? (btw Windsor is the best not that i am biased :P )

in terms of timetable we have 12 hours of lectures a week 3 hours of lectures per module and we seminar every fortnight generally 2 per each week.My current timetable is very sparse so i have lecture on every day but we always get wednesday afternoons off as it's designated "sports afternoon"

I hope i answered everything but if there are more questions you i will be happy to answer
