Hi everyone. For those that have visited Maastricht and are from the UK, whats the best way to get there? London to Amsterdam then Maastricht or London to Brussels then Maastricht? Thanks in advance
Train - Eurostar to Brussels and then Train to Maastricht.
Coach - National Express from London to Brussels and then Train to Maastricht.
Flight - down south from Stansted to eindhoven and then Bus/Train to Maastricht (1.5hours for bus/trains combo with buses every 15 min and trains every half hour IIRC as this is how I went).
Flight - up north, Manchester to either Dusseldorf or Brussels (maybe it was birmingham).
Thats the routes i can remember, and as you can see, I have too much time on my hands

I was just wondering, did any of you also consider Groningen University? Why or why not? -
Re: Maastricht Applicants 2012?It didn't have any courses that appealed (computer orientated ones).(Original post by Kyle Butler)

Re: Maastricht Applicants 2012?Ah! Thank you soooo much. Im considering taking either Eurostar to Brussels then train to Maastricht but how many changes is this? Does the train from Brussels take you straight to Maastricht with no further changes?(Original post by Alexgadgetman)

Im also thinking going by air but I was thinking Stanstead to Amsterdam and then Amsterdam to Maastricht. I was on www.ns.nl and trains from amsterdam to maastricht run hourly which is perfect!
Cost wise, if train tickets from Amsterdam to Maastricht are as cheap as they are being shown online, (with very strange 40% off 1 ticket and 20% off the second....very bizzare. Why soo cheap on an approximately 2 hour journey?Hmmm) I would get there with this route. Can you also explain to me how tickets are priced as i'm completely baffled with this. Also, how much does the ticket cost on the day of travel?
Thanks .Last edited by b-beauty; 19-03-2012 at 21:55. -
Re: Maastricht Applicants 2012?You can still apply AFAIK.... they dont have the same cut off date as the UK.(Original post by PrettyLittleLiars)
I am absolutely gutted that I didn't apply to any Dutch universities. I didn't consider it till this weekend. The worst thing is that I a dutch and can speak Dutch but just don't live in the Netherlands. :/ Such an idiot I am! -
Re: Maastricht Applicants 2012?If you travel from Stansted you want to travel to Eindhoven. Much nearer and easier to reach (30 Euro return train journey).(Original post by b-beauty)

Re: Maastricht Applicants 2012?
Thats a lot of people who've applied to European Law in English this year!
I too am going for the same course
Im from Pakistan, just got my mail telling me that im eligible yesterday. Maastricht is pretty damn fast in replying since i had just finished applying like 2 days back.
God knows when my interview will be. Frightened as hell!
and what are the "LEGAL REQUIREMENTS"? i called them up and the lady said that it's visa and payment among a few things.
and to all those who already had their interviews, how long did they take before sending you a mail informing you about your interview after marking you admissible? -
Re: Maastricht Applicants 2012?Did your email say that you're gonna have to do an interview? Because I have actually never heard about any inerview (I'm also marked "admissible").(Original post by ibbi132)

Re: Maastricht Applicants 2012?Someone here on this very thread did have an interview so i was just concerned(Original post by Kyle Butler)

though i did check out the law page on the website and it states nothing about any interview
i wonder how long it'll take for us to get the email about the legal requirements
i hope theres no interview, EVER! -
Re: Maastricht Applicants 2012?In that case I'm pretty sure that there's not gonna be an interview, they would probably mention it in the email. I sent them an email asking what were the requirements and they just linked me to their website, so basically all I need is a valid passport and my IB diploma.(Original post by ibbi132)

Re: Maastricht Applicants 2012?I'm doing the IB as well, I think you asked a couple of pages back about the minimum requirements and its 24(Original post by Kyle Butler)
