Just hit 60 on my barb (3rd level 60) and spent just over 2 million gearing it up leaving me broke. Barbarians are fun though, so I think it's worth it.

Sweet. Im gutted they fixed the siege of bastion exploit, I wanted to get my last 2 level 60's to have one of each class haha :<. Hit me up if you wanna do any inferno content, pinkranger#2507

i think ive made less than that all together. including the 300k profit i have made so far in the AH.

Do you think life steal on barb is any good? I feel like I should have some but the most weapons give is like 3%. That's only max 500 hp per hit and given that I have 40k I dont think it would make much of a difference when some elite pack jumps me.

Also, I literally need wrath of the berserker to even stand a chance against elites. And basically if they aren't weak I have to kill 1 before I die, wait til wrath is up again then go kill the second also probably dying again then come back for the third.

What skills are you using on yours? I switched now to leap on MB2 to initiate with stun. Then go in with wrath and battle rage. When stun over activate war cry and ignore pain, and obviously revenge whenever active. On MB1 I use frenzy with the each frenzy is 4% extra damage.

Act 2 goblin farming can be quite profitable, though is pretty boring. Only worth doing with 2 or more people though and full sets of magic find gear. That's where that 2 million came from but as I say, broke now.

Life steal is bad. Life on hit is good.

Life steal is only 20% effective in inferno, 60% in hell and 80% in nightmare. Just ignore it completely.

lifesteal is a wasted stat as it has an 80% nerf in inferno, so 3% lifesteal is actaully like 0.6%. so like you'd have to be hitting for about 200k+ per hit to get as much Life on Hit as I have now (1685 duel wielding on my monk).

Oh wow, why bother having life steal in the first place? Blizzard are dopes at times.

Also, how important is magic find? Does it just increase the number of items or does it make them better? Because it's not like I find few items, it's just they are all bad... I only have 1 item dropped so far that I would even consider using, for any class (a 1 hand bow with almost 600dps, seems good given my 564 dps 1 hand weapon suits me well atm).

Say an item has a 2% drop chance. If you have 100% MF on gear, that item will now have a 4% drop chance.

I think I will stop playing though.

I beat Act I Inferno, and yet I die all the time when I go farm. You are supposed to have fun playing games. This isn't fun anymore. There is a potential to always progress with better items which in itself is cool. But the way to go about that is plain stupid. You waste away your time doing stupid farm runs in the hope of getting better items.

There was a video of a wizard dying in hardcore act II inferno to literally nothing. No enemy on screen, no nothing, he just died almost instantly.

AH/Goblin runs are probably the most efficient use of your time.

no but then if you spend 1mill or so act 1 becomes a breeze.. and as a group goblin runs are fun (it's kinda like gambling!)

I just spent 600k at a last attempt.

However, mostly on magic find and a new weapon. I now gained about 5k dps to 18k base damge (with frenzy on 5 stacks, and with wrath of berserker, I now have over 40k dps) and I gained 65% magic find*. But I lost a bit of armor and all resis and a ton of hp - 10k. Im now back to 31k and it feels like I die a lot lot quicker. I kill faster too, so I have go in kill 1 and rush straight out, recover hp and go back in for next kill. But I am screwed now if Revenge doesn't activate enough.

* although that was a joke. First butcher after that i got no rare item. However, I did find a scoundrel thingy before that seems to be worth about 400-500k.

Where is best to farm for gold?

Coz item farming is stupid. I killed Butcher several times now, with changing gear to have more MF - I had 5 stacks so altogether + 149% MF on inferno. He had 2 rare drops that were so bad I sold them to merchant because they're not worth 1 out of 10 auction spots...

Also, does it makes sense to get all +gold for your follower? Does +gold and +MF on items for follower give you more?

I believe you gain 20% of your followers MF/gold find.

I think one of the better ways I've heard post act 1 vase nerf is to use full gold find gear and kill mobs in act 3 hell by the waypoint before Rakkis Crossing (I can't remember the name of the exact waypoint off the top of my head). There are tons and tons of mobs that would be easy to kill in full gold find gear as a level 60.
