One thing I need to do at Leeds Fest is just sit in the grass and watch Tame Impala, just need them to play now!

Alright folks, festival virgin coming through.

    Sonisphere ticket booked.
Now eyeing up Leeds and Reading.
So, being as I'm smack bang between the two, which one should I go for?

Can't speak on a first hand experience of Reading; but Leeds is very rural and (in my opinion) how a festival should be. Plus, we're all nice up 'ere in Yarksha'. Readings pretty much on the edge of a town and not very... rural.

My friends that have been to both swear by Reading as being better in terms of layout and the fact that Reading is the one that gets filmed.

Haha don't worry, I'm surrounded by Yorkshire folk at uni, so I know all about your niceness!

I can see this being a hard decision! It all seems to be down to opinion, so maybe I'm just gonna HAVE to go to one site this year and the other next year

I've only been to Reading and i like it because of the layout and the town nearby for cheap maccies breakfasts and the tescos and it's nice to get off site in the mornings, but i've heard that the late night entertainment is better at leeds.

I've always gone to Reading (despite living in Leeds), as my friends go there. It's a great location in terms of getting to it (you can walk from the station, go into town in the mornings for decent food/use of a proper toilet etc). There's also a tesco next to the site that is great for getting booze. Leeds is in a country park and you have to rely on the buses (which have big queues) to get to and from it.

How fast do people think the tickets for Reading will sell out tonight? As there is no Glastonbury it might be insanely fast. I'm supposed to go out at 7 but I might be late and stay behind to get tickets. hmm.

Last year they didnt sell out til like a month before, but yeah i know! Glastonbury not on is gonna make it even harder to get tickets! just go out at half 7/8 to be sure because everything might freeze up

I think it'll definitely sell out in a few hours if The Cure, Foos and Kasabian are headlining.

Might have to grab a day ticket... question is, Foos day or Kasabian? Would have liked to see the Cure, shame it's on 'emo day'.

I hope At The Drive In do some more UK dates. If the Saturday was better I'd go mainly for them, but not worth it with that lineup..

This is a really disappointing lineup. Add some more **** pop-punk and indie why don't you

Couldn't have asked for a better line up. Some of the top bands are a bit dodgy but the NME stage more than makes up for it! The Cribs, Foster The People, Justice, Courteeners etc!

Foos opening the festival and Kasabian shutting it... brilliant!
