Preferred last years exam but it was alright... do you get to keep your best grade/mark if you do worse in the resit?
That paper was SO badd.. last years one was nicer, really thought it was going to be rivers .. and the population questions were horrible and the fieldwork ones weren't brill. Think i've just resat for no reason.. but as long as we get to keep marks before resit:L

are we allowed to discuss it then? I was confused slightly with the bar chart, but it did say total percentage at the bottom, so i took the whole thing to b2 36% or whatever it was...

The first question, I was looking ages at the key for a thick black line, then I realised it was the line around zone A. Oh dear...

I put A was straight gridlined long buildings with a railway connection, so it was likely to be industrial use, there was no open space etc
and B was residential, not gridlined, had forest (and named it), had a national trail through it, more open space
And included plenty 6 fig grid references...

The question where it asked you to describe and comment on a graph, what does it mean by comment?

And i was also stumped by the secondary resources cause we didnt discuss that, but I knew what they are (from art gcse where it was drummed into me not to use them) so i whittered about OS maps and google satellite images to identify valley features, to link up photos to show the visual river changes, and to overlay with graphs as a visual comparison aid???

I put census data for the secondary data

As the percentages were kind of separate I assumed that you put each one on top of each other i.e. it went up to 71. Also as the graph was set out to be just above 71 it made sense to me... I messed up seriously on the explanation questions of part 1!

Part 1 was pretty annoying. I think the explain questions on implications of services etc. were not hard but I didn't do well, just babbled on. Graphs were okay. Part 2 was really good I thought!

I put census data for the secondary data
For my secondary data I said I used google earth to find evidence of urban density when investigating an urban microclimate

Yeah you do keep your best mark

That's what I thought too! But was the branding question?

Lots of people also said that... ah well, hopefully it didn't make too much of a difference
What on earth was the branding question??

I got the triangle plotting wrong, but for the following question i wrote about the places with more old people needing more clinics, public transport, bungalows etc.. is that on the right lines?

    LOL exam stress eh
nooooo, i put A was rows of flats D: and same, but what you put sounds so much better than what i put (i.e 'i looked at studies done on rivers before and this told me about what to expect' or similar ****) cos we hadn't actually used any secondary resources!!
i wish you good luck in your results one can only hope that the grade boundaries are low..

It seems everyone found it hard... but not really really hard, just kind of annoying, I think would be the best word. I think we all knew the stuff, the questions were just worded really badly, i think :P
