So I do think it was a harder than normal paper but not stupidly hard. The first 24 marks should be bankers, I would say there were 40-45 pretty easy marks. So I would not expect very low boundaries.

Guessing boundaries is far from easy; Jan C1 boundaries are typically higher than those in June. More entries in June, more students retaking... only once has the boundary for an A dipped below 60 for an A in the past C1 Jan papers.

C1 Jan 11 was definitely easier and that was 62 for an A.

I am going to go for

100UMS = 73
90UMS = 66
80UMS = 59
70UMS = 52
60UMS = 45
50UMS = 38
40UMS = 31

I was pretty close

100UMS = 75
90UMS = 68
80UMS = 60
70UMS = 52
60UMS = 44
50UMS = 37
40UMS = 30

Hi Arsey, how do you know about 90 and 100 UMS? The grade boundaries sheet document only had 80 UMS and below.

because I know how they are calculated

90 UMS is actually impossible

it will be 67 = 89 and 68 = 91

You actually need to know the grade boundary for only A and E, others all can be calculated from them.
I'm so nervous for these results! Worst thing is our teachers aren't allowed to tell us - It would be so annoying to look at my teacher, knowing that he knows my grade :frown:

I scored 96 UMS. Pretty happy.
Grade boundaries have been released

in which subjects did u appear???
I got 95/100 :smile:

I don't suppose they will make me retake for those 5 marks do you??!

So, I got 51 'marks' for C1. Grade D apparently. I'm not too fussed about and it's what I expected given that I didn't do any revision. I can make up for it in D1 and C2. What irks me is that the paper was out of 75. So, is this '51' the UMS mark you're all going on about? In reality I only hit around 35-40 marks, or is the 51 the raw marks I achieved? Have I been given the wrong grade?
What is UMS and what does it stand for?

I got 100%, year 11 :biggrin:
I got 74/100

Quite happy considering the amount of marks I lost due to the bloody graph questions.

Bring it on, C2!
