Have exams become more difficult or are we getting dumber?!
After this weeks set of exams it's become apparent... Everyone sitting AS exams have found them more difficult than past papers, but a lot of the A2 students retaking the AS exams haven't found them as hard, which leads me on to my question... Are we getting thicker or are the exams more difficult than previous years? And if they are harder how can we get this message across to the exam boards?!?!

It probably was a bit of a hard paper that you were underprepared for. You don't need to communicate this with the exam boards, when the marks come in and they do the statistics, if the curves are really low then the grade boundaries will be adjusted.

I'm a GCSE yr 11 student right now and I don't think we are getting thicker. The Exams ARE getting harder. When I was doing a science past paper I got an A* in it. But when i did the real thing I got an A.( i need to retake to make my chemistry A* overall) The government have decided to make the exams harder so less people get the grades to get into university so the government wont need to pay loans bursaries etc.

I really am not looking forward to a-levels. There was a Facebook protest about a biology exam being very hard because most of the questions were not in the specification.

    I know, it sucks!
