Re: bath spa uni applicants 2012 entryBrilliant! I can't wait! When do we find out which accomodation we have? Is it when we get results and accept the place, or before that? Also, when do we move in?(Original post by Lahrun)

Re: bath spa uni applicants 2012 entry
Hello, I know this is generally for Undergraduate but I can't find a thread for Bath Spa in the Post Graduate forum! I have two offers for the MA Heritage Management and MA Curatorial Studies but I am undecided as to which I am taking. If I accept either course I will be moving to Bath in September, what is the accommodation like for students at Bath Spa? Either Undergraduate or Postgraduate?

Re: bath spa uni applicants 2012 entryThe University doesn't offer accomodtion for post grad, only 1st year undergraduate. 2nd, 3rd and post grad have to go into the private sector, but the University can help you out with finding some where.(Original post by rachelsayers87)

Re: bath spa uni applicants 2012 entry
Hello, Im Trudy. I finally found this thread after spending three days talking on University of Bath forums and being really confused!! Im hopefully going to be studying Creative Writing in Septemer. I applied for Waterside (I really wanna get in here) Newton Campus and Independent housing is my last choice. I really hope I don't end up in Newton but I had to try and keep my price at around £100 a week

What's everyone else doing? x -

i soon as i read Newton park would have construction work throughout the year, i ran a mile, and opted for Waterside and Charlton!
haha, anyone applied for psychology?
Oh same, Psychology for me
Yeah i've put waterside as my first choice and newton park for my second so I hope I get my first choice, don't want to have to deal with construction work :P -

Re: bath spa uni applicants 2012 entryI didn't think too much about that either, but I'm sure it will be fine!(Original post by Lahrun)
Didn't really think much about the construction! The noisy bit is happening now over the summer so it's my first choice also
All 3 of my choices are on Newton Park campus, I can't really be bothered to stay off campus, I'm too lazy

Re: bath spa uni applicants 2012 entryHey!(Original post by sarah-ellen)

I'll be in my second year at September, and I started my first year living off campus! Getting a flat in the centre is very useful for things such as getting that shopping up the hill, and don't feel it's not the end of the world at all. If you will be living with housemates - then you've already made friends - and if you have a problem with them, all you need to do is speak to the uni and something can be sorted out =) If you are living with housemates - contact them before uni starts! You may be able to make friends before you even meet them
I'd recommend joining as many societies that appeal to you, and be as open minded as possible. You'll meet loads of people that way, and during the campus this year... Will be a lot of construction work (so muchh noise!) and it'll be easier to study without drunk students dancing around campus at turning on the fire alarm at 3am in the morning.
I hope this has helped, any questions and I'd be glad to answer them!
