Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIDidn't mean to say Liverpool the club. I just meant certain fans.(Original post by Stirlo)
Obviously, it wasn't liverpool posting that on twitter... If you read this thread you'll clearly see none of the fans on here believe he's anywhere near that quality -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIII don't know what type of chances. And I'm not comparing him to any of them, was just saw something I found interesting.(Original post by Darth Vader 7)
LOOOOOOL
You can't be serious?
What type of chances? Goal-scoring chances? game-winning chances?
How many goals has the aforementioned 5 scored and assisted in comparison to Adams?
Surely some Liverpool fans understands he is not comparable to any of them, including Walcott. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VII
I found the perfect striker who'd do well with Adam in the team

Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIA good fit for Liverpool Football Club then.(Original post by El Stevo)
Unfind it. Adam is ****. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIII know you are just wumming but the majority of posters on here have been highly critical of the team and as critical of Dalglish as can reasonably be expected. I believe the general consensus was that we'd like to see him given to the end of the season and if things aren't looking like they are improving then we should consider other options. That seems like a more sensible course of action than running around, screaming and pulling our hair out while spewing vitriol that would only serve to pollute the atmosphere at the club.(Original post by white_haired_wizard)
lol, ridiculous.
Bigger games out there - games in which you crumble into a pathetic mess.
Liverpool would actually start to go places if they had a talented manager like Moyes in charge. Everton also have numerous players who would easily slot into Liverpool's starting 11. You have such a strong ingrained bias, in favour of Lolerpool and against Everton. You're cringeworthy actually, most of your posts are. Sour grapes, delusion, just can't bring yourself to criticise Dalglish, or criticise him as much as you should be doing. Frankly, it's embarrassing.
You're only saying "it's just another cup semi-final" because you're in denial that Liverpool are just an average, and at best, a good league side who have become a club that only pursues cup wins. Liverpool are nothing but a cup team that tries to cover up its inadequacies with cup wins - attempting to mask/disguise their general mediocrity. Laughably obvious.
In a way I think you need Liverpool though. A Man City crumble would of course be delightful but it just isn't quite the same is it? A mediocre Liverpool, as you put it, means you just won't be able to get a rise out of a dejected set of fans. Indeed, I remember the good old days in 2008/2009 when you could probably have farted in the direction of this thread and had pages of reaction to enjoy.

Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIReally? I can't think of that many tbh.. Maybe Baines over Enrique, Fellani over Adam but who else would come into the first team?(Original post by white_haired_wizard)

Let's not forget how cyclical football can be. Utd had to wait 26 years between their success in the 50/60s and then in the 90/00s.Last edited by Zerforax; 30-03-2012 at 11:41. -

Champions League Dreams: How European Nights Gave Us Our Pride Back | Hardback
Author: Rafa Benitez |
Due for release on 13 September 2012.
Champions League Dreams is a stimulating and deeply insightful football narrative by Rafa Benitez which focuses on the legendary manager's dramatic six Champions League campaigns with Liverpool. Rafa expertly navigates fans through intriguing European adventures that embrace the triumph and despair of two Champions League finals, three semi-finals and five quarter-finals in what was a golden era for the Anfield club - an era that supporters felt gave them their pride back after years in the wilderness. What sets Champions League Dreams apart is the unique ways in which Rafa allows fans into his high-pressured world, the fascinating glimpses he offers of a top manager's thought processes and decision making during the cut and thrust of a high-octane European campaign. Understand how a great manager prepares for, then executes, a master-plan for European success

We really were spoilt under Rafa! I miss those days. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIFellaini, Baines, Tim Howard, Drenthe (although IIRC he is on loan from Real Madrid), Jelavic (from what I've seen, the lad has some class/quality about him), Pienaar, Distin. Cahill and Osman - workman-like and pitch in with goals.(Original post by Zerforax)

Then players with potential, who are already of a good standard, e.g. Rodwell, Coleman.
A number of these players are certainly good enough to feature in a Liverpool starting 11. I can't remember what the Pienaar situation is, whether he was re-signed permanently from Spurs or was loaned back to Everton. Regardless, he's a quality player, IMO. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIII wouldn't want Cahill, Distin and Osman anywhere near Liverpool. Howard either.(Original post by white_haired_wizard)

Liverpool v Spurs on July 28. North America. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIThere's inability, and there's not using ability. Subtle difference.(Original post by white_haired_wizard)
A good fit for Liverpool Football Club then. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIYup.. due to Engineering works between Liverpool and Euston. I guess they can get Network Rail to delay the start to ensure everyone can get down there AM before working, whereas with an evening ko everyone would be going down at different times so it'd hold up the works(Original post by Stripe)
12:30pm kick off? What a joke!
