Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIII'd be keen to get a more detailed response too. Thinking of getting membership for next season too.(Original post by So Instinct)
At the start of the 2012/2013 season, does everyone with a normal membership have an equal chance of getting tickets?
For example tickets only go on sale to people with more than 4 games that season, that then must not apply and anyone with normal membership will have an equal chance?
I've never been in a financial situation to be able to buy tickets and a few other things, but I have some ££ now. So yeah.. The ticket stuff can be slightly confusing so an explanation would be awesome too.
Also does anyone on here regularly go to games? I don't have any friends who are LFC supporters so I'd be going alone. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIFrom memory everyone with a membership does get an equal chance but I am not 100% so it might be best to wait for someone else to answer(Original post by So Instinct)

Also, I do go with my friends, or at least meet up with them before the match for a drink near the ground before going in and (sometimes) sitting alone, but it you wanted I'd be more than happy to meet up with you in town for a drink or two and then head to Anfield as I should be attempting to buy tickets for every home game this season. So even though we wouldn't be sitting together at least you wouldn't be wandering about the city by yourself. The more the merrier tbph. -

Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIII deffo wouldn't go to every home game. Simply can't afford that as a student lol.(Original post by Mess.)

But I would try to go to every 3rd game or so and deffo anything in London (I live close to Wembley, like 15 minutes via train).
And yeah I'd like to meet up with someone. Journey to Liverpool would be a long and lonely one though. Sitting alone would suck, can you not ask to be allocated together?Last edited by So Instinct; 18-04-2012 at 23:35. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIAh I thought you were talking more for home games. Away games will still require previous season credits I believe and as Zerofax said, it is nigh on impossible to just start fresh.(Original post by So Instinct)

You can be allocated together, you just have to link your membership cards

Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIISons of bitches. Gotta make life hard don't they.(Original post by Zerforax)
I'd imagine it's hard/impossible to get away tickets unless you're a season ticket holder.
I guess going to Liverpool every other month won't be too bad. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIIt's especially painful knowing that we're out of it for another season, so at least another year of no CL.(Original post by lifeshard)
Imagine if that had been at Anfield tonight?
Way better.
Stamford Bridge somehow manages to take the life out of even that with the plastic flags and repetitive chants.
I really really miss it. I was pining so hard watching Arsenal go 3 nil up against Milan at the Emirates, European nights in the CL give you some magical memories.
Hopefully we get back there soon
It's only been two seasons, soon to three but it feels a lifetime.
We used to take it for granted tbh. Had some absolutely fantastic nights under Rafa though.
Think you have to have an IP email address, I tried many times with Hotmail but it worked only when I signed up with an IP address.(Original post by lifeshard)
How do you get onto RAWK? It says to email so and so for the authority code but i've tried three times but never recieve it?
Why do your parents think going to football is a deathwish? -

Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIThey'll 1st go on sale to members with a certain amount of games on their cards from this season. Games like Man U (impossible with no credits) , City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Everton etc will be hard to get tickets for, but keeping checking closer to the dates of those games because returns go on sale etc. I think it was 13+ home games from 10/11 if you wanted to get tickets for Man Utd at home this season in the summer sale. But games like Swansea, West Brom etc will be easy. Cup games will be easy too if you attend the earlier rounds.(Original post by So Instinct)

And a few away games have gone to no credits this season, Blackburn a couple of weeks ago recently being one of them (mainly due to our allocation). All you needed was a membership and you could get yourself a ticket. So it's best to look out for those.
I've been to a few this year. I think I'm gonna try & go to my first proper away next season (would have this time round but for being skint, well, I kind of did but in the wrong end). And I suppose maybe a TSR Liverpool thread meet could happen one day

There's hardly any trouble at football games these days tbh. You should take them along with you & let them see for themselves

how do u think we will do against chelsea after their performance against barca? -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIThey hung on for their lives. They won't do that against us. It will be a fairly cagey and even affair. We will be underdogs for it which is always good for us and we need the win much more then they do. I think we'll cause an upset.(Original post by hasan4life)

It could just as easily go the other way though.

Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VII
Fulham game this season is on general sale with loads of tickets still left, it's a Tuesday night but it's an opportunity for you to come up this season. Chelsea will probably go the same way because it's a Tuesday night too, which is a shame cos if it was Wednesday I'd be there, got a cup final on the Tuesday!

Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIWish I lived a little closer. Always means taking off at least a day of work if I wanted to make it during the week.(Original post by ChrisWilliams)

Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIThey won't play so defensively against us and my guess is that Torres will start so it will be a different style than hoof and flop/use strength.(Original post by hasan4life)

They'll be exhausted before they get to the cup final anyway. Had 2 massive efforts in cup competitions and they still need to do well/have some tough games in the league. Playing games every 3 days is not easy and they don't even have a massive squad like before.
Bet they have a bunch of knocks and muscle injuries before the FA cup game. We'll beat them over 90 mins or over 120 mins. -

It's easy, if you put the time in hammering f5 when tickets go on sale. -
